When we gathered warriors of conscience for a listening session this past September, @SecWar made clear that “the only way we fail is when we quit.” Since then, our @DoW_USW_PR team has not stopped working to make things right for our Service members & veterans impacted by the COVID-19 vaccine mandate. We have acted with urgency and resolve to return experienced warriors to the fight, offer remedies to the affected community & ensure such failures never happen again. Today, 150+ impacted warriors are back in formation again & the number of Service members seeking reinstatement continues to grow. We look forward to welcoming back even more brave warfighters during the coming days, weeks, and months. @DeptofWar will keep taking action to build on our efforts to-date, listed below, to facilitate reinstatements, restore honor & rebuild trust. We will not quit. Recap ✔️Conducted outreach to the ~8,700 Service members involuntarily discharged in writing & over the phone (twice) to apologize for this injustice and offer information on reinstatement. ✔️Organized a listening session with the affected community. ✔️Established senior-level Service contacts & dedicated communication channels to allow reinstatement applicants to have direct access to senior leaders & receive priority attention. ✔️Offered impacted warriors head-of-line privileges at MEPS & MTFs and provided them with dedicated support from experienced professionals throughout the process. ✔️Expanded service obligation options, including a 2-year active-duty/ 2-year reserve split or a 4-year reserve commitment, and offered additional incentives like duty station preference, appropriate reclassification & geographic stability during initial assignments, when possible. ✔️Further reduced the active-duty service obligation from 4 years to 2 years. ✔️Publicly honored reinstatements at the highest levels of DoW. ✔️Launched a social media series sharing good news stories of reinstatements. ✔️Started to identify & automatically upgrade inappropriate discharge characterizations for ~3,000 Service members. ✔️Expedited the correction of military records. ✔️Started to repay previously collected bonuses for those who do not wish to return to service. ✔️Shared updated discharge characterizations for ~900 Service members with the VA, enabling impacted veterans to access the GI Bill education benefits they have earned. ✔️Sponsored a comprehensive, independent, evidence-driven review of the COVID-19 vaccine mandate to identify lessons learned, offer recommendations, and enhance transparency & accountability. ✔️Extended the deadline for reinstatement by 1 year. ✔️Directed the Military Departments to reach back out to every warrior whose career was cut short under the COVID-19 vaccine mandate to inform them of recent changes & encourage them to consider reinstatement.

Outstanding @secwar! From the beginning, those of us working the cause of Covid amends have argued that reinstatement, reconciliation, and accountability must be managed from the top. The varying, disconnected, disorganized (and often undermined) military service branch task forces have largely failed in this mission. Some tried really hard (Army), but were stymied by belligerent chains of command. This mission is one @USW_PR_HONTata should have taken charge of from the beginning. No doubt there will still be issues to overcome, especially given the hostility of Tata's staff toward getting this done. But if this new task force is reportable direct to Hegseth, the chance of getting closer to success will be the highest it has been thus far. Don't stop with the video @PeteHegseth. Bring the whip to work daily. You'll need it to keep the Undersec's staff rowing this boat.

This will be a long one. But I’m actually gonna cut in here a bit. @USW_PR_HONTata ‘s team has done a metric ton here. I do remember SECWAR saying at the all hands COVID meeting that “The only way we lose is if we stop fighting”. I must say, with experience now, that the ability of the Pentagon bureaucracy to morph, adjust, and fight back… is something I’ve never seen before. It is the ultimate example of Machiavellian obstruction. Imagine someone with the attitude of a DMV worker but with 140 IQ. That’s your average senior bureaucrat. I’m not trying to make excuses here, but sometimes new fronts need to be opened up. Maybe that’s what this is about. But to say it should have been Tata’s job doesn’t sit well with me. Because they’ve done A LOT. Let’s be honest here and see this problem clearly: the moral injury sustained by the COVID cohort is among the worst, if not THE worst in American military history. The finest America had to offer were ousted, ostracized, insulted, and left for dead. Tens of thousands of them. The anger to fix things quickly is justified. The anger for justice, is justified. Everyone asks “How come they could kick us out in the street in two weeks but can’t reinstate us inside of 2 years?” And it’s a fair question. Because it is always easier to destroy than to create. It is always so much faster to blow something up. Couple that with the fact that, in my opinion, many bureaucrats are ardently ideological (not in a good way), and we have a situation where we are relying on the arsonist to help put out the fire. TLDR; Tata et al have done far more than people realize. Short of assembling mass gallows in the pentagon courtyard and hanging everyone involved, the battle to make everyone whole is a slog. I hate it. I hate the bureaucracy. I am its sworn enemy. I have personally sparred with it at scale. And I’m here to tell you that SECWAR’s words were correct. “The only way we lose is if we stop fighting.” So the fight continues. But I’m not going to assign blame to a battering ram that can’t breach a castle gate. No. I’m going to give it more oomph. Because blaming it is like a rocking chair. It gives us something to do, but it doesn’t get us anywhere. And I thank USW-PR for executing the siege as effectively as they have. And they aren’t even done.

🚨 WE ARE OBLIGED TO SEIZE YOUR AUTHORITY AND IMPOSE SHARIA — PEACEFULLY IF POSSIBLE, BLOODSHED IF NECESSARY.” Muslim Cleric’s Candid Admission Just Torpedoed the “Religion of Peace” Lie. 💥 “We are obliged as Muslims to take the authority away from the people who have it and implement the Sharia. Now I hope that can come in a very peaceful way… no bloodshed.” That wasn’t a slip. It was doctrine unmasked. Classical Islamic jurisprudence — from al-Mawardi to Ibn Taymiyyah — has always taught that the ummah’s ultimate duty is to replace man-made law with Allah’s. “Peaceful” is simply the tactical choice when numbers are low; history from the Ridda Wars to the fall of Constantinople shows what happens once the balance tips. Sharia is not “personal faith.” It is a complete political-legal system: hudud amputations, jizya subjugation of non-Muslims, death for apostasy and blasphemy, and the explicit rejection of equality and secular sovereignty. Our Constitution is built on the opposite premise — individual liberty, not communal submission. You cannot square dar al-Islam with the First Amendment any more than you can square Marxism with private property. This is not “Islamophobia.” It is pattern recognition. Texas already said it: Not on our watch. The West must now choose — enforce borders, ban Sharia courts, demand assimilation — or watch the gradual, “peaceful” erosion of everything our ancestors died to build. Civilizational survival isn’t bigotry. It’s sanity. Many of my X followers are not seeing posts like this one.
