@harrym_vids There is none. It pushes people out of owning older cars - incredibly wasteful and counterproductive to sustainability in reality. People driving old cars isn’t good for govt targets and spreadsheets. A truly inept and confused bunch.

So taxing my 2015 Jaguar Project 7 for 12 months costs £790 but taxing my 2018 Project 8 for 12 months costs £200. Same engine and both EU6 compliant, just 3 years newer but road tax is 4x the cost. Where’s the logic in that?

@NIRoadPolicing @PoliceServiceNI Drivers have their own responsibility - but it isn’t helped by an incompetent government who somehow can’t manage to fix MOT testing in NI (years after COVID) and issue exemptions like they’re going out of fashion.

Too many drivers are continuing to risk their own safety and that of other road users. This is the message from our Head of Road Policing after figures show close to 800 detections for driving-related offences over Easter. More here: orlo.uk/5ErIq #MoreThanAStatistic

@joncoupland Couldn’t agree more. Dreadful looking. I could see them phasing back out very quickly.

Anyone else not a fan of the "temu" style illuminated badges on new cars? Seen recently on Audi, VW and Honda and they just look ... Cheap

@BBCMarkSimpson @NatashaBrennSF A small number of residents prioritised over tens of thousands of people coming to the city to spend money, fuel hospitlaity, taxis and more. Miserable.

@BBCMarkSimpson @NatashaBrennSF A load of tripe. A handful of concerts a year, very few residents in the impacted area. If other sites existed they’d be being utilised already. Casement park has significantly more residents surrounding it - so why is that better? Absolute garbage from SF & BCC.

@TomBlackmore90 We have the 987s. Similarly, mine and now dad’s. Superb looking and performing cars - not just for the money - but in general. Lovely in silver too.

💍New arrival🥊 2005 Porsche Boxster collected with just 19,000 miles, 2 owners from new (son then father), and probably one of the best history files I’ve ever seen 🤓 #Rarebutnobodycares

Audi A6 E-Hybrid is the first UKCOTY finalist I’ve driven today that isn’t an EV. This is the £70,455 Launch Edition, with S line styling and 21-inch wheels. Lovely to drive and has a very useful electric range of 60-65 miles. But Audi interiors aren’t what they used to be…

@RoadworkUK Great, thank you! Do you have any rough idea of battery longevity? I know there is an 8 year / 100k mile BMW warranty.

@marktboyle Cheers. Full charge costs a tenner at home, realistically takes us about 120 miles in average weather.

We've had the i3 for three months now... and it's utterly brilliant. Nicola uses it in EV mode most of the time, charging overnight every fourth day or so. She's just filled the petrol tank for the third time. £9. BMW should make them again so we can buy another used one in 2030.

Spotted this the other day and I can't help but think that Mercedes has not built any SL that looks half as good as this since, or with half the presence.

@JimAllister The budget was released yesterday Jim and your party would rather put its energy (or at least public comms) into some damage to a picture that happened a year ago and has zero impact on people’s lives.
