Let's not underestimate what India just did. National Quantum Mission is quietly becoming our next ISRO moment. - Only China has done this at larger scale. India is now third in the world. - The way it works: encryption keys are protected by quantum physics, not just math. If someone intercepts the key, both sides know immediately. You physically cannot eavesdrop without getting caught. - This is a real deployed backbone for defense, banking, and government communications. Works underwater and underground too. * IMPORTANT: zero dependency on US or Chinese quantum tech. Fully indigenous.

Update on this. I have instructed the team to continue to work on this and we are targeting completing the component within 6 months. The learnings will be immense and the potential upside is great as well. After that? We will start looking for folks to sell it to, outside India, if our folks don't want it.

We spent a year reverse engineering a part for one of the three services. Even built a sample and showed it to them. The ONLY company to do that. Lost out on the bid because apparently, we didn't have the production line to make the part. This, when we had already mentioned that we would invest in the machinery. How can we indigenize when you come up against bureaucracy??

@maxratul but if Tejas still has issues with the gsh23mm, I see it a bit unlikely htt40 types can make it we need to relearn the forgotten engineering of WW2 era how hurricanes and spitfires could carry 8 HMGs and Me109/Fw190 even had cannons without breaking up we have lost that knowledge

the drones are so slow, have seen footage of an eagle struggling and nearly stalling doing scissors to get behind one. so an off-nose high angle lasing capability ie WSO is probably what makes the apkws work

This is an extraordinary victory by Iran. Massive respect for what they pulled off as a nation. Such are the deeds that forge Asabiyyah. If Iranian control of Hormuz is formalized, they will rightly emerge as the first Islamic and the second Asian Great Power of the modern era.
