War propagandists just make up any random number for how many Iranian protesters they say were killed in January. British pundit @NicholasLissack has variously claimed the number was 12k, 45k, 50k, or 100k, depending on the day and the vibe he was feeling at the time.

Imagine if Iran bombed Washington and killed students in schools, what would you call it? Terrorists The U.S. and Israel bombed Tehran and killed students in schools. Why do you call it a "pre-emptive strike"? Bombing a school is a war crime under international humanitarian law

PERSIAN GULF PERSISTS! Today (Ordibehesht 10) on the Iranian calendar, we mark Persian Gulf Day. That body of water isn’t just geography—it’s a cultural anchor. A part of Iran’s identity, West Asia’s soul, and humanity’s collective history.

We completed the investigation at Minab school, so Donald Trump doesn't have to. Triple tap U.S Tomahawk cruise missiles were fired on a busy school day. Many children were still alive after the first strike. As some tried to flee, they were targeted again - this time with teachers and parents too. This can only be described as evil crimes against children and humanity.

Weird, no, that there are no armed guards at Tehran synagogues? The Iranian Jewish MP at the time, Siamak Moreh-Sedegh, told me in 2009 that when he goes to Europe he has to pass by armed guards to pray, but Iran he doesn't. For a chapter in a book I was writing he had me visit the Yousefabad synagogue for Shabbat services and he was right: no guards, no tension. Ironically, a different Tehran synagogue was recently destroyed not by Iran, but by an Israeli bomb. Israel has now attacked Iran twice in th past 12 months. It has killed Iran's Supreme Leader and his family. It has killed leading military and political figures. And yet not a single instance of antisemitism or an antisemitic attack on Iranian Jews has been recorded in Iran; neither by the population, nor by the establishment. (None of this is to suggest that Iranian Jews, like other religious minorities, are overwhelmingly accepted into both the political and social structures of the Islamic Republic. But as compared to US allies in the region, Iranian minorities (with the exception of Baha'is), are treated with a measure of respect (and non-violence) that is unique to Iran.)

Totally agree with @liel Get a weapon, get trained, and let your rabbi know that you’re armed during services. We protect ourselves by ourselves instead of depending on others to do it for us.

Since it’s Persian Gulf Day, I want to remind those who seek to travel through the Strait of Hormoz that the cost is $2 million USD in Chinese RMB. Soon we will only accept it in Iranian Rials. We accept bank transfers and crypto. Thank you for your attention to this matter 😎

I don’t want a city on Mars. I don’t want AI in every app. I don’t want data centres in space. I don’t want humanoids or flying cars. I want clean water. I want a stable climate. I want bees to survive. And a habitable planet.

Iran was compelled to regulate maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz as a necessary measure of self-defence in response to a war of aggression waged by two nuclear-armed powers. The United States invoked Iran’s defensive measures as an excuse to impose its so-called blockade, which in essence is a disguised attempt to normalize acts of piracy, the illegal seizure of vessels, and the extraterritorial enforcement of its domestic law in international waters. By doing so, it has now set a precedent that Israel was quick to exploit by seizing a ship on the high seas on its own initiative. In fact, Israel’s swift seizure of a vessel on the high seas has nothing to do with the justifications it invokes. It is a timely and calculated move designed to reinforce and accelerate the very practice Washington is seeking to entrench. This is the direct result of the global community appeasing Trump and turning a blind eye to the blockade. If left unchallenged, such silence will consolidate a dangerous precedent that risks permanently reshaping the norms of international navigation and eroding the legal safeguards governing the high seas.
Al Jazeera Breaking News@AJENews

Israeli forces have intercepted around a dozen Gaza-bound aid boats from the Global Sumud Flotilla in international waters near the Greek island of Crete, more than 1,000km from Israel. Organisers call it an illegal attack on civilians in international waters.

At Minab's newest cemetery, I met a man who was among the first to get to the scene. Picking through the rubble, all he found were tiny disembodied hands and feet from the 120 children slaughtered by the US military with Tomahawk missiles. An unforgivable crime against humanity

Where the fuck were you when Minab school’s roof collapsed in 2017 over the kids’ heads and the regime didn’t do jack shit about it? Your crocodile tears are disgusting. You use Minab kids for your dirty propaganda. All while you damn know well it was IRGC bombing the school, exactly like when they shot down flight PS752.

The liberation of Saigon took place 51 years ago. Ho Chi Minh once wrote of the Vietnam War: “They may bring in half a million, a million or even more troops to step up their war of aggression in South Vietnam. They may use thousands of aircraft for intensified attacks against North Vietnam. But never will they be able to break the iron will of the heroic Vietnamese people, their determination to fight against American aggression, for national salvation. The more truculent they grow, the more serious their crimes. They war may last five, ten, twenty or more years; Hanoi, Haiphong and other cities and enterprises may be destroyed; but the Vietnamese people will not be intimidated! Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom. Once victory is won, our people will rebuild their country and make it even more prosperous and beautiful.” Vietnam back then is Iran today. No matter what genocidal tactics the Epstein Alliance adopts, the Iranian people will not be intimidated.

The Shallow State
The Shallow State@OurShallowState·
I'm watching Pete Hegseth testify and anyone who does so with an open mind, will readily see that he is a caricature. He has delusions that he is starring in an action movie. He is arrogant and ignorant. His narrative never has any depth. He speaks as if what's good and what's right are not even complex subjects, or debates borne of perspective. He loves American Exceptionalism but believes that it's only defined by musculature and pomposity. He couldn't care less for us being a shining example for others, or a force for a greater good. He couldn't care less for sharing strategy or being accountable. He creates lasting disdain for America on a global level like few others ever have and make no mistake - this disdain will permeate for generations. He doesn't present arguments. He doesn't share justifications. He doesn't care for transparency, and the only thing he cares less for than that, is humanity. As a behaviorist, I can feel the things he's been accused of - like alcoholism and misogyny and reckless sharing of info - underlying his attitude and every utterance, and you can feel how unapologetic he is for any of it. He is a brazen politician serving an audience of one. He is a Made for TV concoction, and a vacuous mishmash of hormones and neurotransmitters. That he's running the US Defense Dept. is incredibly dangerous and disturbing.
