I maintain that the single most insufferable thing about New Yorkers is that they bewilderingly try to claim everything. This transcends politics—all New Yorkers do this. Yes, everyone has coffee. Everyone has convenience stores (nicer than your “bodegas”). Everyone has what you have and it’s usually cleaner and cheaper!

But given how everything else has trended, ownership probably dropped their requirement that it could only be young/rookie players, salary likely starts at rookie scale otherwise smart teams like NY would use it as an int'l stash.

From what I've heard the plans currently are to push back the end of season, although other sports are changing their calendars to avoid competing with football...

if the WNBA is going to expand to 50+ games they need to extend the calendar imo. there are conflicts depending which direction it gets extended, but I think it's best for the league and player health
