Limitless Creativity vs Controlled Creativity CHAOS vs CONTROL Creativity is relative in football, for some it may be a skill used to beat a player, for others it can be a disguised pass/disguised first touch - there isn't a clear definition. Actual debate is around the risk

@FathalliMo true, from Robinson's POV,it makes sense. a typical concentration lapse from a recovering defender to lose his man, staying touch tight could have helped Saka was just reacting to the space he noticed, recognising space in mirco seconds, thats what stood out for me.

That wasn’t meant literally. We can’t read a player’s mind and know his exact intent. Perhaps the wording wasnt it, but this was more from Robinson’s POV. Keeps seeing Saka as a “safe” option everytime he scans until the last moment without reading the box, which is imo, why he decided to try and put pressure on the ball.

'made him feel safe before attacking blindside' - if this sentence was intended to mean in its literal sense, that's not a good judgement here, saka was getting near the ball to support him,but as soon as ball carrier got decent control over the ball, nearby player(saka) will look
Fathalli@FathalliMo

Can’t emphasize how good this movement from Saka was. Robinson checks his shoulders 4 times, Saka waits until he reaches the edge of the box & quickly changes direction & speed right after the 4th check. Made him feel safe before attacking the blindside.

@saundzo be thrown forward,so that dribbler can more chance of avoiding the trailing leg. It should be a balance btw feint and ankle shift, have seen dribblers spamming ankle shifts, like they have mastered it,but wont work unless you can let the defender move past you to a certain bit

what he can do next.He immediately saw the space and attacked it. spatial awareness and game IQ is great, but we can't frame it as Saka methodically stayed blindside with the intention to then later attack the space - that's just a naive way of explaining this, imo.

A Dribbling Masterclass ft Yamal -how he collects info -how his brain process it and then actions follow -actions are instinctive, but not random -these are repeated in every game -movements are ingrained to him coaches/players can learn a lot (this was done an year ago)

ways to effectively contribute as a no.6. A less aesthetic CM like Rice wont do those turns a lot,as he priortise other aspects. Rice looks technically incapable to do such a neat turn, but again, that single deficiency doesnt define him, thats the whole point. I am not a fan of

half turns by no.6s is one of the most risky moves in football, and we dont have to use it to define a no.6. the player might be capable, but his risk taking threshold will be much lower and wants to avoid it. Players like Veratti make it look easy, but there are other efficient

One of the problems of the tactico mind is a fixation on a specific trait that they use to define everything. They saw Busquets & Verratti turn out of pressure and think a No. 6 must have this or he is not good enough. They forget Jorginho, Rodri & Kroos almost never do it.

robotic press rather than a intelligent one, less decision making for players = more robotic approach, and yeah, it results in crazy attacks, but you got to be a bit more smarter in your press, then we will get even more brilliant attacks.

this single-instruction approach to always mark your man is a bit naive tbh,Kompany brutually punished this approach from Atalanta and now he got punished by PSG for a similar man- marking system. there should be smart nuances in this pressing system, or else it will be a form of

We analysed the Champions League first legs, understanding why Enrique and Kompany are not as similar as they are made out to be, and what exactly their approaches were. We also analysed the Atletico and Arsenal game, and how Simeone’s game state reactive approach fared against a structured performance from Arsenal.
