Not only did I listen to them, I can remember where I was when they first dropped for each of them. Him coming back with Relapse was very exciting I remember the promotional single Crack A Bottle like it was yesterday. But his album were always so inconsistent and absolutely littered with corniness. His first 3 weren't like that at all. Insane on Relapse is god awful. We Made You is garbage. My mom and medicine ball also terrible. The best song on that album is Stay Wide Awake by far. But that album does not compare to the Black Album or hell even Blueprint 3 that came out the same year

Jay Z is not the greatest ever. That title to me belongs to Eminem. Lyricism Sales Streams Accolades Eminem has Jay by a large margin. Jay Z is and has always been just a constant of his generation. He was never truly dominant. Nas scorched him, and Em outsold him.

Eminem doesnt believe this. At his cultural and commercial peak he put Hov number 2 all time. Jay-Z even featured him on The Blueprint at Em's absolute peak of abilities, on an Em produced track and they both complimented each other perfectly despite what Nas said lol. Since then, Hov dropped The Black Album, Kingdom Come (miss), American Gangster, Blueprint 3, Watch The Throne, Magna Carter (Miss) and 4:44. Since that moment Em dropped Encore, Relapse, Recovery, MMLP2, Revival, Kamikaze, MTBMB and TDOSS. I got Hov > Em. Em still amazing but his albums really suffered since his first 3. Mind you Reasonable Doubt, Vol 1-3, The Dynasty all dropped before he even made The Blueprint and they were all phenomenal albums. You can prefer Em's rapping and style better but to say hes had a better career because of sales and streams is bogus.
