@damekellyholmes I do feel so much for you, 400 people per year accidentally drown in the uk and the majority are between males between 10 and 18, 360,00 worldwide which includes natural disasters, water safety in th UK needs celebrity backing, maybe you could become an ambassador of water safety

Education is key. Collaboration will enforce change. Safety equipment will save lives. Let's get water safety on the curriculum properly. Let's enforce that this is checked & enforced. Let's have rescue equipment around bodies of open water just in case.
