I just received notice that I am suspended through the entire fall semester for my participation in the first Gaza Solidarity Encampment at Columbia. Admin silently went back on their own deal with students in which they agreed to reverse our mass suspensions due to the outrage.

Equally important to remember that ICJ ruling is not about what Israel will do: Israel will ignore *any* ruling. This is about forcing the rest of the world to take seriously their obligations to stop an entity now officially accused of genocide by the world’s highest court.

They were demolishing entire neighborhoods with high explosives to establish a “buffer zone” between Gaza and exclusively Jewish towns in Israel’s south. According to the “IDF,” the razing of entire Palestinian communities is necessary for residents to return to their homes in the south.
