Here’s everything I tried before I exited my first company at 24: Age 14: built Roblox games. Got on the front page, got banned, didn’t make any money. learned a lot about going from 0-1 Age 15-18: started a web dev agency. Saw my first real paycheck. Made ~$30k before graduating high school Age 19-24: Started a cannabis cultivation company. Learned how to go from 1-10. Had months where I thought we wouldn’t make it. Learned more from the near-failures than the wins. Exited at 24. Age 26: Now building @shortscut with some of my best friends

Instead of going to networking event hoping to bump in to that one person that will change the trajectory of your life Just build and post content and what you're building, they'll find you

@benfryc @framer the post processing to add those glares off the sheen on the pointer finger was such a nice touch - well done!

touch is everything. at @framer we want people to feel our branding as a tactile thing. for the enterprise speed ad, the capstone piece is a hand with our icon tiles swirling around it. the hand is one i've used in many pieces over time. but i haven't really animated it moving too much. here i wanted it to feel a bit like the hand was influencing the rotations of tiles. simple keyframes on each joint in the rig give the hand a gentle grace. the camera pulls back and rotates slightly with a very long focal length to flatten out perspective. the hand material itself has the sub-surface scattering pumped up so that the light penetrates the surface of the skin material. i've customized the material over time to have more realistic sheen and roughness since real skin has both a shiny and matte quality to it. the lighting in these uses two area lights above the hand and tiles. the blue light only directly illuminates the tiles. blue light bounces off the tiles onto the hand. the white light is a lot smaller, but the exposure is cranked way up so you get these strong hits of light. paired with post fx on the camera, I get some really nice glows and flares in the lens. the final result of the lighting and camera setup puts the hand at center stage for this campaign. thanks for following along in this behind the scenes series. you can check out the full video over on the framer YT channel in the link below
