Like…sorry your fav didn’t live up to initial stock expectations ig? Initial stock is literally determined a year in advance when they coordinate with the manufactures anyways

You have roughly a spoonful of plastic in your brain right now. That amount has gone up 50% in just eight years. Researchers at the University of New Mexico compared brain tissue from people who died in 2016 to people who died in 2024. Published in Nature Medicine last year. The 2024 brains had 50% more plastic in them. In people with dementia, the concentration jumped to 10 times higher, though scientists still don't know if the plastic helped cause it or just built up because of the disease. These are tiny fragments, smaller than a grain of rice, that break off from water bottles, food containers, and clothing fibers over time. They've been found in over 1,300 species. In humans, they've shown up in the brain, lungs, liver, kidneys, the placenta of unborn babies, and reproductive organs. A 2024 study in the New England Journal of Medicine tracked patients who had surgery on clogged blood vessels. The ones with plastic particles stuck in their artery walls were 4.5 times more likely to have a heart attack, stroke, or die in the next three years. Mia Heller was 17, living in Warrenton, Virginia, when she found out her tap water was contaminated. No government money coming to fix it. Her parents bought a filter, but the parts wore out fast. So she started building her own in the garage. Instead of pushing water through a traditional filter that catches particles (the way most systems work), she used ferrofluid, a magnetic oil. You mix it into contaminated water and the plastic fragments cling to the oil. A magnet pulls the oil and plastic out together, the oil gets separated and reused, clean water comes out the other side. She went through five prototypes between spring 2024 and January 2025. The final version is about the size of a bag of flour. Fits under a kitchen sink. It removed 95.52% of microplastics and recycled 87% of the ferrofluid for reuse. City water treatment plants typically remove 70 to 90%, which means an 18-year-old with a garage prototype outperformed most city water systems. I dug into the timing of all this and the federal government is just now waking up to this. Two weeks ago, the EPA added microplastics to its drinking water contaminant list for the first time, and the Department of Health launched a $144 million program to measure how much plastic is actually inside Americans' bodies. Heller was already filtering it out of her tap water. She won a $500 award at the 2025 Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair, the biggest global science competition for high schoolers. Ferrofluid is too expensive to produce in large quantities right now, so this is a home unit, not a city-wide fix. She starts college this fall. The stuff she built her filter around was invented by NASA in 1963 to move rocket fuel in zero gravity. Took six decades for someone to use it to pull plastic out of drinking water.

🚨: Mia Heller at the age of just 18, invented a water filter that eliminates 95.5% of microplastics.

Ofc the story wouldn’t choose to let phai continue to suffer forever, he gets a happy ending because that’s what he and all the other heirs sacrificed so much for. The writers aren’t going to choose to focus on his misery over his happiness, that’s not the story they want to tell

If you have an issue with it then amphoreus just isn’t the story for you and that’s ok, but that’s always what the story was leading up to. Even Cyrene’s lines about how “love will triumph over hatred” bear true because the source of Phainon’s hatred was always rooted in his-

I really don’t get why people are still calling Phainon lobotomized in the year of our lord 2026 “He still has so much trauma that wasn’t addressed” Man. That’s how it is with every character. Amphoreus’ focus was always going to be on love and the power it holds-
