@OrdinarlyNormal @GIRLISNIGHTMARE i've never really noticed a difference with them. they CAN make a difference, but the disc would have to be *very* warped for it to make that difference
English

@puffle2828 @GIRLISNIGHTMARE One final question, would it be good to buy a record weight stabilizer? Heard that it would be good in case some records are warped or slightly off the turntable mat, but I’ve also seen it does more damage than good
English

@yousuckeggsLady @GIRLISNIGHTMARE depending what turntable you get, it might already have a preamplifier built in. You can then just plug that into a pair of speakers. The Edifier R1280t are a great budget pair of speakers if you need a pair. I usually recommend that + a Fluance or Audio Technica turntable.
English

@puffle2828 @GIRLISNIGHTMARE so i have a suitcase record player (was a gift) and i’ve been looking into buying a better record player online, but im reading everywhere that besides a record player i need a (pre) amplifier and separate speakers?? not sure how that all works and how to find the right equipment
English

@OrdinarlyNormal @GIRLISNIGHTMARE The LP120X is a great turntable if you can find it on a sale. It'd be better than the 310BT for sure, but I'd imagine that the tariffs would drive up the cost of the 120X.
This doesn't mean that the sony turntable is bad, its a great player.
English

@puffle2828 @GIRLISNIGHTMARE I’m currently buying the Sony 310bt, but I also heard the Audio Technica AT-LP120X is the best in terms of everything. Should I keep the Sony or return it?
English

@calhanoglus The XBT models only add bluetooth, so they wouldnt be worth the extra cost if your not gonna use bluetooth
however. fluance also sells their RT80 turntable for 200 USD, so i think that would be a better value
English

@puffle2828 thanks for the input! theres also the option of getting LP70X but for me LP60XBT is at $165 (price converted) and LP70XBT at $205 so idk if i should splurge the extra $40 if theres not much difference between the two
English

@alphaomega1389 @GIRLISNIGHTMARE should be good, yep! as others have said, audio technica is a great brand for this stuff
besides that, the heyday turntable has everything a good turntable should (adjustable counterweight, anti skate, swappable cartridge)
English

@puffle2828 @GIRLISNIGHTMARE So I’ve owned the target heyday brand vinyl player since 2021. They’ve discontinued, but I always change my needle out. I use a Audio-Technica ATN3600LC Conical Replacement Stylus Needle. Am I ok? I have never run into issues, but I notice it plays a lot of my records with a hiss
English

@PinkNoms @GIRLISNIGHTMARE i’m glad i could help. i find that alot of people (myself included) started out on a suitcase player and then moved on to a better turntable when we got more into the hobby
English

@puffle2828 @GIRLISNIGHTMARE ah well, this image is helpful in that i dont have a suitcase player but mine does have this mechanism or something very similar at least. so I know to avoid playing vinyl on it
English

@calhanoglus @GIRLISNIGHTMARE they both use the same stylus, so you shouldn’t hear too much of a difference. My friend has that sony and she loves it
from what i’ve noticed. the LP60X has gone up in price in the USA (thanks tariffs)
English

@puffle2828 @GIRLISNIGHTMARE is sony good? im contemplating on whether to get either the PS-LX310BT or audio technica AT-LP60X
English

@x100preBBenito @GIRLISNIGHTMARE what do you mean fake news? theres literal scientific proof that a suitcase player (with more tracking force) WILL wear down your vinyl faster than a player with proper tracking force

English

@theveryfirstnat @GIRLISNIGHTMARE vinyl is a expensive hobby unfortunately. 40 dollar albums and 200 dollar turntables. the way i see it, if your gonna pay that much for one album, you should play them on a turntable that doesnt cost as much as the vinyl itself
English

@GIRLISNIGHTMARE I need to get an audio technica but they’re so expensive 😭💔
English

@shannysaywhat @GIRLISNIGHTMARE 100% agree. the Fluance RT81 has been my daily driver since february and it's been a killer investment
English

@GIRLISNIGHTMARE Fluance is a very good company with amazing customer service. Great record players with options for upgrading the needles to fit your needs.
