@sciencegirl Suddenly everything went crisp and clear with HD, but we lost something wild: that fuzzy static held about 1% of the actual leftover glow from the Big Bang itself, cosmic radiation still echoing from 13.8 billion years ago.

@cb_doge @GregAbbott_TX Tesla/SpaceX/xAI have limited prior fab experience (unlike Intel/TSMC), so execution risks are crazy-high. I wouldn’t bet a dollar on this. Let’s see them make a chip first. It’s not easy. And it’s really had to do it with any kind of yield. @grok, do you agree?

ELON MUSK: "We're starting off with an advanced technology fab here in Austin, and I'd like to thank @GregAbbott_TX and the state of Texas for the support. So in the advanced technology fab, we will have all of the equipment necessary to make a chip of any kind logical memory, and we will also have all of the equipment necessary to make the masks. So in a single building, we can create a mask, make the chip, test the chip, make another mask, and have an incredibly fast recursive loop for improving the chip design. To the best of my knowledge, this doesn't exist anywhere in the world. We're really going to push the limit of physics in compute, and we're going to try a bunch of wild and crazy things, which you can do if you've got that fast iteration loop that I can't emphasize enough the importance of being able to make it, to test it and and then make and then change the design, do another one, and have that in a single building."

CHINA SENDS ROBOT BUILDERS TO THE MOON Chinese engineers unveiled a semi-humanoid lunar robot designed to assemble structures and handle tools as part of the country’s plan to build a Moon base. The machine rolls on specialized wheels for lunar terrain and will work alongside swarms of autonomous robots that can survey land and even 3D-print bricks from Moon soil. Because apparently even lunar real estate needs contractors first. Source: NewsForce

@jackquilblack @BonillaJL I understand that. Was there a plan for the US to control the strait or not? Upending the system and then just walking away leaving other countries to solve the hard part is remarkably irresponsible.

"BUILT INTO IT FROM THE BEGINNING": Watch as former Fifth Fleet commander VADM Kevin Donegan (USN-RET) shuts down the media's ridiculous "failed to plan for the Hormuz Strait" narrative, as put forth by ABC's Martha Raddatz. MARTHA RADDATZ: But-- but- you say we knew about their capabilities. And certainly in the Strait. Are you surprised that we didn't do more or have a bigger plan for- for- against that? DONEGAN: I would say that if you look at the campaign CENTCOM initiated, this was built into it from the beginning. And when you think about it in terms of the things that- that the Chairman said and the things that Admiral Cooper said his mission was, one of the things in there was- was to go after the (Iranian) Navy. And what they really meant was Iran's capability to control the Straits when this is over, because we don't want them to have power projection capability. We also don't want them to have this leverage over this internet. You know, this- such an important chokehold so this effort that that that's being done and being waged by CENTCOM is specifically to get at their cruise missile threat, their ability to launch drones at boats, put mines in the water, all those things that when this is over you want then NOT to have, if that makes any sense.

NUCLEAR THREAT: Iranians told the U.S. delegation that the country has enough enriched uranium to create 11 nuclear bombs, according to Special Envoy Steve Witkoff. "At this point the challenge for the Americans will be identifying where that enriched uranium is located and either destroying it or diluting it." "Both of those processes could be very difficult because it is stored underground but this is part of the game plan for the Americans and the Israelis as this war continues." @TreyYingst
