Got up early & completely re-evaluated my query package & comps. Rewrote my query letter AGAIN, changed two of my comps into ONE better one, & revised my first pages so there is more of a hook & the emotional stakes are clear. 🙌🏼 It’s been a PRODUCTIVE morning! #amquerying

Got rejection number 16 just now. Saturday rejections SUCK SO BAD. Literally ruins the entire weekend, which has now happened two weeks in a row. #amquerying

I got plenty of rejections on my book before finding a publisher. And even though I knew it was part of the process, it still hurt every time. There's no way around it. But remember this: A rejection is ONE person's opinion on ONE version of your work on ONE particular day. It's NOT a verdict on: ✅ your talent ✅ your worth as a writer ✅ whether your book is publishable ✅ your future as an author Every author's publishing journey is paved with passes. Keep going. 💪
