@queeniac_ @justinboldaji Okay, I had to check the actual article, and they did say "so-called slush was whatever investigators could recover from the sea floor and then separate via DNA testing". So at least they're not claiming it remained in the sub, but makes it even more perplexing.

@alexfangirl @justinboldaji True but I think there’s a very big difference between cremating a loved one and keeping their ashes in an urn versus taking a submarine to the bottom of the ocean to scoop their emulsified remains out of a pile of scrap metal (mostly, the latter is very expensive and risky)
