Wait....it was a Chinese businessman living in Cape Verde that helped Vozinha's mother to get to the US by paying for her application, and the US gov't had the caucasity to take credit for, when they're who blocked her in the first place because of the US$15,000 extortion fee.
Shanghai Daily@shanghaidaily

A Chinese businessman in Cape Verde helped goalkeeper Vozinha's mother fly to US after the 40-year-old shut out Spain and wept that she couldn't afford the visa. Moved by the interview, he tracked down Vozinha's family through a cousin working at his shop, assisted her with the visa application, and even sent her a Yiwu-made suitcase for the journey.

Draymond Green says basketball is no longer a poor kid's game: “It's a rich kid's game” “I didn't learn how to do a proper individual workout till I got to college. Growing up I'm going to hoop. Where's the nearest run. Drop me off, I'll play all day. That's what we did. We hooped all day. I think there's a huge benefit to that because you just learn to see the game” “It's different when somebody just putting you in a position to tell you to do this move. How do you use your creativity? How do you learn if somebody just say do this? How do you know what your game is if you never tap into it and just figure it out” “I think there's a time and place for a trainer and I think with where the game has gone, you need those resources in order to be successful” “I feel like basketball used to be a poor man's game. Poor kids played it. We were poor. We had nothing and it was our way out. Basketball is not a poor kid's game no more. Basketball is a rich kid game” “The days of seeing LeBron James from Akron, Ohio, from a single mom, those days are numbered. Because if you don't have the resources these days, you can't make it. But that’s also why you don't see as great basketball as you did before, because there's no imagination” “Everybody's doing the same thing, playing the same way. I think a lot of that is due sometimes to having trainers. You just become a carbon copy of somebody else the trainer created”

This is why Idc about whether they’re running plays for A’ja lol. Or if the team isn’t playing A+ defense yet. The only thing this team cares about rn is getting other players in a groove, and to be healthy come playoffs. Three rings earns you grace.

Drake is a genuinely gifted, one-of-a-kind hitmaker who has released some of the biggest and most impactful songs and albums of my lifetime. But his massive commercial success has created a false equation: a lot of people assume that because he’s the biggest, he must also be the best. In truth, there are hundreds of MCs who are simply better, with stronger albums, sharper pens, more versatile flows, superior freestyles, and more compelling features. They just refuse to water down their art into the lowest-common-denominator pop-rap that dominates the charts. Authenticity and depth rarely get the same shine as mass appeal, and that’s why the gap between “most popular” and “most elite” has never been wider.

Obama’s presidential library is the perfect symbol of the Black bourgeoisie. Black residents in Chicago are protesting a library built on their park space that will accelerate gentrification, while Black elites and liberals celebrate its opening as “Black excellence.”

Cabo Verde, former Portuguese colony with a population of 500,000, held Spain to a draw at the World Cup – from foundations laid at a national stadium financed and built by China in 2014. China has built more than 100 sports arenas across Africa over the past five decades. But western media is too busy talking rubbish about "debt traps" to cover this story about China-Africa cooperation.

Sean Sweeney, in his introductory press conference as the new Orlando Magic Head Coach, talks about Coach Pop: “Coach Pop's office was right next to mine. And I was very fortunate when you're next to a guy who's the Greatest Coach Of All Time daily. The fact that he even said hello and knew my name meant something to me.. He built that program and guys like me are fortunate to be part of it. Very grateful, and that's part of the reason why I'm here now.” 🩶🖤 #GoSpursGo #PorVida

Kratom is a plant from Asia that hits the same brain receptors as opioids. People take it for energy or pain. It can be addictive and it can kill. People buy it at gas stations, with no age check and no honest label. Markwayne Mullin owns up to a million dollars in a kratom company. Then he stood at an FDA podium and pushed rules to crush that company’s rivals. He never sold the stock. The company was founded by a felon who stole $10 million and did prison time. His kratom shots are tied to liver damage, seizures, and death. The stuff showed up in 5,200 overdose deaths in five years. A 27 year old grad student took it for six weeks and died. His mother says a real ban would have saved him. You cannot make this up. The same company paid a Trump connected lobbyist $600,000. Then the payoff. The Justice Department dropped its lawsuit. The FDA scrubbed the warnings off its website. RFK Jr. called Ohio’s governor to kill a state ban. And the company wired a million dollars to a PAC tied to Kennedy. This is the swamp they swore to drain. It is worse than ever before. nytimes.com/2026/06/15/us/…

🇧🇷 Amazing! The Brazilian president presents a valuable lesson to world leaders during the G7 summit! "The world has spent 3 trillion US dollars on wars, and not even 10% of it was spent to eradicate hunger." While they talk about bombs, Lula talks about providing food for peoples!

Tina Charles has the WNBA record for the fewest games to reach 1,000 rebounds. (89 games) Angel Reese (78 career games) is only 6 rebounds away from becoming the fastest player to reach 1,000 Rebounds. We’re watching the best rebounder in WNBA history.

Micheal Jordan makes $400M a year from Jordan Brand because he had originally turned down Nike to sign with Adidas but his mom disagreed with him and urged him to listen to her and sign with Nike. Nike offered Jordan $500k per year and his own shoe line but his mom wanted him to have equity in the company instead. Today Nike pays Michael Jordan over $250 million per year for his entire life. Jordan Brand is worth over $10 BN and Jordan’s net worth is approximately $4.3 BN He has earned the majority of his net worth because he listened to his mom ❤️
