@FromAerin smth that helps me regardless of if im on my meds or not (i dont take them every day) is giving yourself rewards for doing something, it might sound dumb but it helps a lot with motivation to just feel rewarded even if its just something like candy or playing a game

People with unmedicated ADHD how do you get things done that aren’t attached to a schedule, a deadline, or working under pressure? Thanks in advance.

glutamate antagonists might reduce autism symptoms but its also possible that autism affects the homeostasis mechanism for glutamate and that causes the link with other disorders

ive always been fascinated by this group of seemingly unrelated conditions having such strong correlations with eachother, elevated glutamate could be an explanation

went down a wikipedia rabbithole and im convinced excess glutamate is either a cause or effect of the autism phenotype and thats why autism and epilepsy + tourettes are linked

nmda and mdma both being acronyms relevant to psychotropics seems like an attack on dyslexic people

youre a transmed bioessentialist if you say being trans has a neurological basis and youre advocating for conversion therapy/social contagion theory if you say being trans has a social basis so youre basically not allowed to theorize about why people are trans at all

@maika_anarchiya it depends on the context, something where i have a lot of time and want to enjoy scenery ill walk 4 miles, as a daily commute 1 mile is stretching it

there is no way yall immediately can recognise your emotions. I never know why I am crying. I need to go through a list of possible reasons every time to figure it out like I'm trying to solve a murder mystery
veenus! ⚢@doubleveenus

did yall know that there are a lot of people who cannot identify their own feelings? that’s so wild there’s some people who will cry and not know that they’re experiencing sadness… i forget you have to learn that stuff and sometimes ppl just aren’t taught it
