Josh Painter back on the bump against a real tough team. The kid was amazing. 5 innings, 7ks, 1 bb. The thing I love most about Josh is when he’s pitching he literally hates the other team. Big time competitor, big time feel for spin, and can truly Pitch. Crc Got a good one.

BVAL recorded a 3-1 record in the first round of NCS over EBAL teams.

Lions win their opening round NCS game over Dublin 4-0. @DavidRo83292300 punched out 9 over 6 hitless innings, @ColeEhrhorn secured the no hitter with a perfect 7th. @Luke_hyland09 & Sutter Doctolero lead the way offensively with 5 hits between them. Quarter final game Friday.

@rdh151 @XMVP13 @SGVNSports Well what is going on here? Looks like soft toss but from the front. Ball is lifted and they are on one knee. By the rules that have been posted only thing out of place is that they are in front and not on the side.

Was told that El Rancho baseball will report a batting practice violation to the CIF-SS, alleging that Burbank, a 4-3 winner in their D4 second round game, violated the pre-game batting practice rule. Here is the video.

@XMVP13 @SGVNSports Not according to the bulletin posted. Tosser must be at side and ball must be lifted. Clearly that’s not what’s going on in the video. I’m a HS coach in Nor Cal and this is something we do every game so I do not see any advantage or disadvantage here.

@SGVNSports I don’t see any violation here. This isn’t “batting practice”. This is merely soft toss which is ok to do as it’s defined as valid to do in the CIF rule book.

That’s wild. I’ll be honest some high school coaches egos are way too inflated. As high school coaches our job is to help our athletes in every way possible both academically and athletically. As a byproduct our program gets better. It’s about them not us.
