This week we started fractions! Today we’re practicing our new skills as well as growing our brains with skills we will dive into next week! We’ve got fraction dominoes/dice w/ the bar model & number lines, spin to make a whole, and fraction tic-tac-toe w/ shapes & number lines!

Having kids practice reading words in a leveled reader or a book that is not decodable for them when they are learning the code is like… …Teaching them to ride a bike but asking them to practice in a swimming pool. It doesn’t make sense.

7th Annual Pancake Christmas Party🥞 I was asked why I make pancakes for my students each year. My answer was simple: I love cooking for others. I’ve loved it ever since my Grandma taught me how when I was a little girl. It’s one way I can show kindness & love to my kiddos. ❤️
