Now, here’s a screenshot of the initial progress the artist sent to this person for them to see how it was turning out. That’s when this person decides to send the artist the sneak peek I had previously posted of my commission as “inspo” to ask the artist for changes. They wanted the faces of the characters to look the exact same way. The eyes, the lips, even the way the hair frames the faces of the characters. At some point the headphones were ruled out so that there weren’t any differences between what my preview looked like and what their commission would turn out looking like.

I want to address this situation once and for all in the most honest and transparent way possible, by presenting the facts and evidence. Today, some people quoted my latest fanart because another commission, created by the same artist and using the same pose, had already been published. As a result, people began mocking me, making accusations against my project, claiming that I had copied that piece, questioning my creativity, and insisting that my commission had been created using that artwork as inspiration. After seeing these comments, I decided to respond by sharing a screenshot of my conversation with the artist who created this commission. The screenshot clearly shows that my commission had been ordered well before the artwork that was being used to was posted. Afterwards, I decided to contact the artist directly. This was because, since I had publicly shared part of our conversation, I did not want her to come across those screenshots circulating on social media without any context or to think that I had posted them without first explaining the reason why. For that reason, I reached out to her directly, explained everything that was happening, and let her know that if she happened to see those screenshots on social media, it was because of this situation and not with the intention of violating her privacy in any way. Then, she kindly responded and began explaining the situation from her side. At one point, after reassuring me she understood why I shared a screenshot of our conversation, she told me that that when this person was working with the artist regarding their commission, they sent the preview image of my commission that I had publicly shared on May 26th through Twitter and Instagram as a reference for the style of commission they wanted to order. While speaking with the artist, she told me that after checking her chat with that person from the opposing fandom, she realized that the image had since been deleted. As a result, it is no longer visible in the screenshot that I will be sharing below:
