Last week we celebrated our fantastic Year 7 and 8 students who had independently read and reviewed 15+ or 20+ books this school year! Our breakfast and ice cream parties went down a treat! @SchoolRidgeway

Last week we also took a road trip to Devises School for our annual Great Book Debate! Yr7 students who had read a group of set texts throughout the year battled it out to crown their winner - Four Good Liars by Sarah Wishart! Great fun @SchoolRidgeway

We have been busy in the last week recruiting next academic year's team of LRC Community Champions! Here are some of them helping out at the Yr6 Information Evening last week. Thank you for your help!

Yr 9 have been learning about censorship and banned books. Past, present, thoughtful and shocking. 3 clues to guess the title, author, country where the book was banned and reason. All books chosen are available for students in the LRC - they have fREADom. @SchoolRidgeway

On Friday we set up our pop up World Book Day shop and had all of our Year 7 and 8 classes come up throughout the day to choose a free book to take home! @SchoolRidgeway
