Romans 9.......
1. Paul's conscience bears him witness in the Holy Spirit
2. Speaking the truth in Christ
3. “Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.”
4. The children of the promise are counted as offspring.
5. For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills. God uses Pharaoh as an example whose heart He hardened in order to force him to let the people go. He assures Moses that He has the ultimate decision on who will receive His mercy and compassion.
6. “If the Lord of hosts had not left us offspring,
we would have been like Sodom and become like Gomorrah.”
Israel’s Unbelief.
7. “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense; and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.” The verse refers to Isaiah 51:1 "for those who pursue righteousness and who seek the Lord: look to the rock from which you were cut and to the quarry from which you were hewn." (from Reflecting God, Study Bible NIV). I believe Paul is quoting this to assure the new converts that "You will stumble if you do not believe in the Lord; nevertheless, for those who will believe, you will not vibe put to shame.

Romans 8......
1. Those who are in Christ Jesus.
2. The law of the Spirit of life has set you free!
3. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh
4. He condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
5. To set the mind on the flesh is death
6. Cannot please God
7. We are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.
For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
8. We who trust in God and surrender our life to Him, are given the assurance that God is for his and because of this, nothing can be against us!!!
9. I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Amen!!! My favorite also, especially 8:28 which is engraved in our wedding bands.
