Go is not bad at concurrency. A more factual take is Go is excellent at making concurrency cheap, explicit, and approachable (and approachable, and approachable), especially for common backend patterns. But Go gives you relatively low-level primitives, a lot of correctness around cancellation, task lifetimes, cleanup, error propagation, and backpressure is left to us, the programmer. So the fair comparison is not "Go vs JVM, who wins?" It is: Go optimizes for simple pragmatic concurrency, the modern JVM ecosystem has stronger tools for structured and resource-safe concurrency. Which one is better depends on how complex the concurrency problem is. This is just a "depends on the problem" discussion.
James Ward@JamesWard

Generally developers think of Go as being great for concurrency. Its not. JVM approaches are vastly superior. And even some of the best in the whole industry when you include virtual threads, structured concurrency & Effects.

I can write a clean requirements document. I can paste it into Claude Code. I can iterate on prompts and pull out a working output. The client can do the same. Anyone can. So the question every one of you needs to answer — honestly, for yourselves — is: what am I paying for? Full link below

Done with the first Phase Here's everything I set up before writing a single business logic line: 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 → Go + Gin → Clean separation: handlers, services, models, dto, utils and more... → Config loaded from environment variables → Zerolog for structured logging 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲 → PostgreSQL running in Docker (local) → Neon for production → 21 migration files (up + down) → GORM with full schema auto migrate → Connection pooling configured 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗿 → Multi-stage Dockerfile → Docker Compose (app + postgres ) → LocalStack for S3 and SQS locally, swap to cloudinary in prod (different config but same interface) 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 → JWT access tokens (15 min) → Refresh token rotation (7 days, httpOnly cookie) → Email verification with 24hr token expiry → Forgot + reset password (15 min token) → Change password (logs out all other devices) → bcrypt password hashing → SHA256 token hashing before DB storage → Role based middleware (customer, staff, admin) 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲 → make run → make docker-up / docker-down / docker-rebuild → make migrate-up / migrate-down -> make format and more... Carefully applying idiomatic approach from Jon Bodner book of Go.

So the government just decided to temporarily sacrifice your modern diesel vehicle to the mechanical gods. Their new temporary limit of 50 ppm sulphur fuel is a death sentence for engines designed for ultra low sulphur diesel at 10 ppm. High sulphur content kills these engines by clogging the DPF instantly with heavy soot residue and poisonous deposits. Your DPF cannot handle this garbage and it will block solid unless you do frequent trips with your car. It is essential to carry out a DPF delete or you will face repair bills in the hundreds of thousands of shillings. For any DPF delete reach out to @PrecisionAutoKE on 0708455455
