If Canada is concerned about Israel's latest death penalty law and human rights abuses, why does it continue to enable the Israeli state with arms imports & exports, military cooperation, and billions of dollars in two-way trade? If Canada is committed to the rule of law, why doesn't it do its part to ensure Israel and Israeli officials are held accountable at the ICJ and ICC? Why does it allow Israeli soldiers who served in Gaza to enter Canada? Why does it allow for organizations to recruit Canadian volunteers for the Israeli military, contrary to the Foreign Enlistment Act? The only reason that Israel continues to carry out its atrocities – apartheid, torture, genocide – is because Canada and countries like it refuse to take action to stop it. At the end of the day, Canada has made it clear that it will impose no meaningful consequences on Israel, regardless of how lawlessly or inhumanely it conducts itself.

How can this be a meaningful statement when it is signed by the United States, the main aggressor in this illegal war? They bombed an elementary girls' school *before* Canada expressed unconditional support. We need accountability for war crimes, not empty PR.

I'll never forget how the Israelis bombed al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza in October 2023 and the world was shocked and horrified. Israel denied it, saying they would never commit such a heinous crime. Then they went on to bomb every single hospital in Gaza. Now they are doing the same in Lebanon and Iran. The Israelis have bombed at least 128 medical facilities and ambulances across south Lebanon. In Iran, the US and Israel have bombed 25 hospitals and medical centres. In Lebanon, they are committing double tap strikes to kill medics and rescue workers, just as they did in Gaza. Medics are forced to delay their responses. These monsters are normalizing war crimes that were once unthinkable.

The Israeli government is objectively the biggest terrorist organization that the Middle East has ever known. I'm not using provocative rhetoric, I'm describing the reality in its most literal sense.

I don't want to be one of those people who wastes their time criticizing "hypocrisy" in foreign policy, but holy fucking shit, dude. Jesus Christ. My God. I will never, ever express sympathy for Israelis. Ever. Under any circumstances. To do so would be irresponsible, because Israel always weaponizes sympathy and then uses that weapon to commit mass atrocities. If the world gives Israel sympathy for civilians injured by an Iranian airstrike over the weekend in a war Israel started, by Friday they'll be using that sympathy to justify nuking Tehran. I don't enjoy holding this position. It goes against every natural human impulse inside me. But Israel, by its nature, has made it the only responsible position to hold. History has clearly established that the world was wrong to give Israel sympathy for October 7. The correct and moral thing to have done would have been for everyone to say "That's what you get for being a murderous apartheid state," and then sanction Israel into the Stone Age until they dismantled their abusive ethnonationalist regime. That would have been the right position for the world to take. And that's how we need to be with Israel going forward. No sympathy. No support. We've got to treat them the same way you'd treat a malignant narcissist who solicits sympathy and then weaponizes it at every opportunity. To do otherwise would be irresponsible. It's just not safe.

Note the unequivocal language here. Canada's government can condemn Iranian strikes on civilian infrastructure but could not bring itself to condemn the United States when it double-tapped an elementary school and murdered nearly 200 children in broad daylight.
