@Sattyam15 It is! A lot of early-stage projects underestimate it, even though they run into more issues until they fully mature. I’ve made it easier for them - the setup is simple, and there’s a free tier, so they can start monitoring from day one.

Omg, what's wrong with Opus? I'm babysitting it for 2 days on a single task. Most of the time it waits for some approval. Every time I check it does nothing and waits for another permission... obviously a new "feature" it was ok recently.

@yusukelp GM! I’m building sentinelboard.com - monitoring for saas builders; apart from usual stuff like uptime, cron jobs; api responses, doman expirations, it monitors also openrouter spending with anomaly detection and alerting when anything deserved your attention

@bigboybuilder No, I just know about their new model but I don't have any info about the team. What happened?

@bigboybuilder @Prompt_Driven Long time before... Usable AI is here only for a moment ;) I started working with Ruby on Rails in 2006 (it's 20 years already😳). And I was writing tests most of the time since writing them in Rails has always been super easy.

@bigboybuilder Just a hunch…they keep catching top tier models since beginning, I don’t see a reason why they would stop now. They have enough resources and people.

@sidepreneur_dev what makes you say Chinese models will catch up? I agree with you but just wanna see what you think

@Prompt_Driven @bigboybuilder Agreed, I have quite nice test coverage, especially on my API server. When AI implements a feature, it adds tests automatically and updates docs/api.md accordingly. I have it in claude.md, although, it doesn’t respect it in 100% of cases…

@sidepreneur_dev @bigboybuilder The pile up happens because AI context is usually ephemeral. If you shift from reviewing code to adding strict behavioral tests, the debt stops growing. Tests act as permanent walls that force the model into compliance every time you regenerate

Cron job monitoring in my product just saved me from an unpleasant surprise. My DB backup script had stopped working (because of a DB password rotation I did). Without monitoring, I probably would have noticed only when I actually needed the backup. That could have been a disaster. Make sure your important jobs are still running!
