I think we are going to be surprised at the magnitude of the backlash against wokeness. This is one of the problems with movements that censor speech: you don't know how many people you're censoring, because they can't tell you.

@TaylorLorenz But "creator" does not confer the ability to reach thousands/millions. Just cuz you create doesn't mean you influence. There's an economy around consumers influencing consumers, and that's different than the economy for content creation.

@jmj Is not Facebook predominantly invite-only? I suspect if you chart the % of social media users that belong to invite-only groups since, say 2010, you'll see a decline.
