I visited for the first time in May 2001. I absolutely loved it. I’ve visited several times after 9/11, and things definitely weren’t the same. Each time, it would be worse and worse. It’s just sad. Now they have a Mayor whose entire life centers around advancing his religion of death. At this point, things feel kind of hopeless. 😕
