The J-code Hemi Charger was Dodge's most feared car.
Only 475 were built.
Mr. Norm's got one and made it worse.
The 1968 Charger R/T arrived with flying buttress C-pillar, hidden headlights, and a coke-bottle body that pushed sales from 15,788 in 1967 to 96,100 — but only 475 buyers paid the extra $605 for the J-code 426 Hemi.
This is one of them.
Mr. Norm's — the Grand Spaulding Dodge name that stands alongside Yenko and Royal Bobcat in Mopar history — took that foundation further.
6.4L forged Hemi V-8, twin mirrored precision turbochargers, fuel injection, automatic transmission.
Detroit Speed suspension.
Wilwood brakes.
Custom Root Beer paint with painted stripes under clear coat.
Black vinyl top.
Custom brown leather interior with bucket seats.
Digital gauges.
Tilt steering.
Climate control.
Power windows.
A J-code Hemi wasn't the starting point. It was the foundation.
