My new d&d campaign software will be done this week. Putting last touches and last players for next campaign in.

It’s late but it feels like an early day. The last dumpster is almost full. One project nears completion. Those sound like non sequiturs , but they’re not.

A few weeks ago I burned my hand on a frying pan handle. I named a red dragon after the event-as one does when DMing 15th adventurers. Frying Pan Handle turned out to be like it’s namesake. At first scary, then a few sensible actions later, no real damage done.

The 12 year old needs to apologize to a friend. I sent her John Cleese’s apology in ‘A Fish Called Wanda’ as a reminder.

Do you have a white whale book?One you want to read but it's hard to find? Mine is Wolf's Hour by Robert McCammon. You can find it for $40+ for a mass market paperback in poor condition. Just holding out hope for a used bookstore or yard sale that doesn't know what they have 🤞

@joeroverbooks That’s for the best. Turning twitter into a job doesn’t pay for many writers (it does for some - but I don’t think the hours put in ever get returned in sales/contacts.

I think I’ll go back to not looking at my analytics. I still didn’t have any stats, but I was happier.

@Kiraofthewind1 I created months around how farmers would have named the months. I have 15 month with 24 days each, and 1 day month.

#WritingQ For SFF writers who created a new calendar for their world, did you rename any months/days/etc? What names do you use? In the PD, there are ten days in a week and ten months in a year. Both the day and the month are associated with one of the ten elemental Gods.

Lots of cleanup today. Lots of yard work. “But honey, I’m writing a book,” I will argue. “You’re playing no man sky,” she says. Then I’ll work and fix my secondary character’s motivations while working in the yard. That’s my prediction for today.
