DeCarlos Brown Jr., the man accused of brutally stabbing to death the young Ukrainian woman (Iryna Zarutska) on public transport last year in Charlotte, N.C., has had his murder state prosecution halted for now after the judge agreed with the medical evaluation that he is incompetent. His federal case of committing an act of violence causing death on a mass transportation system has not been paused yet. What typically happens after a criminal defendant is found incompetent is he or she goes to in an institution for a period of time for mental treatment. Future evaluations will determine if the defendant is fit to restart the pretrial process. Brown is currently in federal custody. ngocomment.com
Grass-finished beef is better for you in a few marginal ways. It has slightly more omega-3s. A bit more CLA. A modestly different fatty acid profile. It is also, if we're being completely honest, often tougher, gamier, and less enjoyable to eat than grain-finished. And the nutritional difference, unless you are eating primarily for those specific compounds, is not going to change your life. The grass-finished movement took something true and turned it into a gate. You can now feel morally and nutritionally inferior for buying the beef that tastes better and costs significantly less. Eat the grain-finished. Enjoy it. Get the protein, the fat, the iron, the creatine. Nobody is losing the health war because their ribeye preferred corn in the last few months.
