No matter how you spin it you can't excuse their racist oppressive behavior. Stop making excuses for people who are racist and write laws that are based on racism. People in that part of the world need to get over themselves and start making race and issue it's absolutely no shock that you have so many racial issues in that part of the world. People like you are the problem

It's most definitely not payback. It's empowering a systemically oppressed group of people which btw is 92.7% of the total population, per the 2022 census Let me use an example I went to university with a white girl that bemoaned BEE She didn't get into her preferred university, but still had the finances to fund her way into her second choice uni and is now a practising lawyer. Same end result. Likely, her place at the first choice university went to a student with similar marks but qualified for BEE The point is, her family's history of economic advantage due to the advantages gained as a result of racist apartheid laws meant that even though she was so-called maligned by BEE, she was able to achieve tertiary education and her end goal career with zero delay. Without any numbers to back it up, I'm willing to bet this is the case for most white students who were forced to re-evaluate. Most people of colour in this country in my generation are born into families whose parents and grandparents have little to no formal education because they were, by law, denied the opportunity to study. While her and my parents were able to go to good schools and then university during apartheid they were subjected to Bantu Education: "Bantu Education was a segregationist educational system implemented in South Africa by the Apartheid government through the Bantu Education Act of 1953. Designed to enforce white supremacy, it enforced separate, inferior schooling for Black students to prepare them only for manual labor and subservient roles." Sure, not all white people in this country are rich but the point is that even poor white people in this country have infinitely more resources, be it access to generationally superior education, family members with resources they can depend on. Elon's family profited during apartheid and he's now mega rich, while men of colour his age are, on the whole, impoverished. My family wasn't rich when I was a kid. Still aren't. But, my university educated mother, despite raising us alone, was able to become a teacher and send five children to private schools and then qualify for university bursaries and scholarships. I didn't but a family friend paid for my studies. We are all now successful in our own rights. My older brother is a film director, my older sister works for Big 3 accounting firm. I can assure you, the inconvenience of having to look for second choice avenues into uni etc are incomparable to the damage done to millions of families as a result of decades of segregation and slavery.

The South African laws are literally super racist, plain and simple. It’s not complicated: imagine if the law was called “White Empowerment”, instead of “Black Empowerment”! People would have a seizure 😂 South Africa now has more anti-White laws than Apartheid had anti-Black laws. Think about that for a second … The current South African government has objectively implemented Apartheid 2.0. Shame on them.

I have been to that part of the world and I can tell you that you're not telling us the truth. I have friends in Zimbabwe that tell me the truth. I also know people in your country who tell the truth and what you're saying is not the truth. I believe the people who I have known for 20 years and what I have seen with my own eyes when I have traveled there. Stop lying

I'm a white South African and I have literally zero problems with BEE. But hey, what would a white man (Elon) that benefitted from a wealthy upbringing during apartheid know about it? Calling BEE anti-white is anti-intellectual. You're just unhappy that you can't get your starlink empire to expand to a country you happily left. Good riddance too

The people of California are complete idiots. They are evil and horrible as well. There is no other explanation why they would have so much rampant election fraud and they would elect an evil person like Kamala Harris as a United States Senator after they knew that innocent people were in jail because of her Brady violations. She fought to keep a man in jail on death row because she didn't want to release the evidence until the courts had to force her to do it

It's not just a song they are murdering the people taking the forms and killing the farmers. That is happening in Zimbabwe and in South africa. You can say whatever you want but that is what is happening there and it shouldn't be happening and there's no excuse for it. It's really messed up that people like you are trying to make excuses for what they are doing and try to act like it's okay

Houston received more than $100 million from the state based on a written agreement that they will comply with immigration enforcement. If they refuse to comply, they better get out their check book. It will be costly if they refuse to keep their streets safe.

Maybe you should go to that part of the world and see how things really work over there. It's a disaster and these people are running the country into the ground with their racist horrible policies. They don't do anything except mess things up. The people who actually were doing things that were good for that part of the world have now been oppressed and are running away from there and the people who say that they are trying to do things are not doing anything except for destroying what could be a very nice country. You're sitting here with bad information trying to judge people from the other side of the world but those people wouldn't even have clean drinking water if it wasn't for the so called oppressive people who took over their country for a time. In Zimbabwe they can't even say that they have clean drinking water since all of their racist policies that South Africa is implementing were implemented there. You can't drink the water without worrying about getting cholera. These people complain and why but they do nothing except create a racist oppressive environment. Even against the people who they claim that they are working for while they oppress people of other races. All they care about is power in control and even when the black people try to stand up against if they used the military against them as well. You have no idea what you're talking about because you have never left your sheltered little life here in the United States or wherever you are from

The only reason you had anything in the first place is because those people came in and made your country prosperous. Now you are doing the same thing that Zimbabwe has done and their money is useless and a 5 million Zimbabwe note that I have it's worth less than one penny and I doubt anyone would even give me a penny for it. I have seen what you are all about first-hand. You can't justify your racist policies that you have by complaining about yesterday. Your own people in Africa sold your own people into slavery. You can't blame that on everyone else and then try to oppress and destroy the only people in your country who accomplish anything. You're going to end up just like Zimbabwe where they took the land away from the people who were actually doing something with it in order to give it to people who sit on their ass and do nothing. Good luck finding anyone who wants anything to do with you and your money is worthless because that is coming. If the people that you are supposedly trying to help while you oppress the people who do everything had actually accomplished anything since you took over we wouldn't be having any of these conversations. You would have your own satellite internet system or you would have fiber on the ground and you don't have any of that. When I was there your internet connections we're slower than what I had in the early 1990s. I should have had high-speed internet and I had dial-up speeds and the bandwidth was limited. So complain and depressed the people who actually accomplish things well you do nothing useful yourselves. That's just a great idea

Maybe you have a goal of working 120 hours plus every week and giving away the money that you worked for to useless projects I put your name all over the place to try to make yourself look good but some people don't have the goal of putting their name on a bunch of buildings just because they made a few bucks. Some people don't feel the need to go around and stick their name on a bunch of buildings in order to show off that they did something with their life. If you want to have someone's name on a bunch of buildings go out and work your ass and build something and then you pay to put your name all over a building. Why haven't you accomplished it? It's because you don't think outside of the box and you don't work nearly as hard as some of these people that you cry about.

The present day Europe let themselves become weak. You can't even defend yourselves let alone anyone else. Without the United States you would be nowhere. Stop trying to act like we aren't the ones who have been defending the shipping lanes and that you're getting your fuel because we don't do anything and you do everything yourself. At the present moment you are crying Russia Russia Russia but you're depending on their oil and gas. If we weren't protecting the shipping lanes you wouldn't have any oil at all and would be in the dark right now. So try and push the United States and see what happens to you when no one is there to look out for your stupidity

If America Leaves NATO, the Bill Lands in Washington “NATO wasn’t there for us. We send billions of dollars to them every year to protect them. We would have always been there for them. But based on their actions, I guess we don’t have to be, do we? Why would we be there for them if they’re not there for us?” That argument sounds airtight. It also gets almost everything backwards. The Industrial Logic No One Wants to Say Out Loud. For decades, NATO membership has functioned as the world’s most effective arms sales platform. When a country joins the alliance, it buys American. F-35s, Patriot batteries, HIMARS, Javelins. It becomes structurally dependent on American spare parts, software updates, and maintenance contracts. It is the most sophisticated captive market in military history. Poland alone devotes 4.7 percent of its GDP to defense. These are not abstract trade figures. They are jobs in Fort Worth, Orlando, and East Hartford. They are the economic foundation of entire congressional districts. A US exit from NATO does not preserve this arrangement. It ends it. Canada and Portugal have already signaled reservations about F-35 commitments worth up to $19 billion, citing political unpredictability in Washington. When two countries walk away from an American platform, others begin running the same calculation. EU member states spent 343 billion euros on defense in 2024, a 19 percent rise from the year before. The political momentum behind “Buy European” is real and growing. The market will remain. NATO gives the United States something no defense budget line can purchase: forward positioning, intelligence integration, and political legitimacy across 30 countries. These are the operating system of American global influence.Without them, the United States becomes alone. The Indo-Pacific pivot is not wrong on its merits. But forward positioning in Europe is not a drain on Pacific readiness. It is the network that makes global power projection coherent. Cut one node and the whole system degrades. The Quiet Withdrawal Already Underway. A formal exit has not happened. But the functional retreat is well advanced. The Trump administration has told European allies the US will no longer serve as NATO’s primary conventional defense provider after 2027. Joint force commands are being transferred to European generals. Intelligence-sharing arrangements built over decades are being quietly renegotiated. Each move is individually defensible. Collectively, they produce the same outcome as a formal withdrawal, without the legal fight or the Senate vote. The irony is considerable. The administration that views NATO as a bad deal for America is dismantling the mechanism that made American arms exports dominant in global defense markets. The alliance was never just a security arrangement. It was the most durable commercial advantage in the history of the defense industry. So back to the question. Why would America be there for allies who aren’t there for America? Because “there for us” included $343 billion in European defense spending flowing toward American suppliers. It included 30 countries hosting American bases and intelligence networks. It included the political architecture that let Washington call itself the leader of the free world and have other governments agree. Not a subsidy to Europe. A return on investment that took 75 years to build. The bill for dismantling it will not arrive in Brussels. It will arrive in Fort Worth. Stay connected, Follow Gandalv @Microinteracti1

This is combat and in combat it is a highly fluid situation that changes constantly without notice. When your opponent in combat refuses to stop the fight doesn't end so easily. In a dictatorship there is no civilian property. Everything is the government. The people need to step up and put an end. We are helping them but if they don't do their part and the other countries around them don't do something we don't have a choice. I would rather see Bridges blown up then see our troops go in on the ground and get injured. In case you didn't know our people matter more then their infrastructure. They need to give up the uranium and stop or it's going to get much worse for them moving forward from here

The state of Oregon has 17% of their population on welfare and according to the numbers that I found by doing a little bit of research it amounts to over 44% of the states annual budget. They have so many employees working in the welfare department that if you do the math their case load is less than 120 people per employee over there. They have a 2.5 billion dollar per year budget just for admin expenses. It's just insane who knows how many other places are functioning in this manner. We all know that the money is not coming back out to help anyone. We shouldn't have people collecting welfare for more than 2 years in the first place
