⚡️The final two Qatari LNG cargos will reach Europe by April 13th. After that, physical tightness in European gas markets will start to intensify sharply, with no fresh Qatari volumes expected for at least 2-3 months. Europe’s winter is over… but the real energy squeeze may be just beginning.

⚡️In 🇺🇦Ukraine, OnlyFans creators have won 27 of 94 tax disputes. In 2026 alone, 13 rulings were issued in their favor, including 5 in February. ❗️Regional distribution shows Odesa with 8 wins and Dnipro with 5. A Kyiv case stands out: a ~$400k income allegation led to a $3M tax assessment, fully overturned when bank statements contradicted the claim; 🇬🇧UK tax letters referencing Fenix International Ltd were deemed insufficient without primary documentation. 😬 From decades in fiscal policy, I’ve rarely seen enforcement fail so consistently on procedure rather than substance. #UkraineEconomy #TaxLaw #TaxEnforcement Photo: Getty Images

In what world does Kevin Hassett live in? He does know that futures are estimations and that all the current indicators are showing elevated energy prices. Gas prices up $0.83 from last year and diesel up $1.41. Global bunker fuel up from $550/ton to $950/ton.

Kevin Spacey had two Oscars when he signed on. Jeremy Irons had one. Demi Moore, Stanley Tucci, Paul Bettany, Zachary Quinto. Every one of them took the lowest wage their actors' union allows because they read this script and said yes on the spot. The whole movie cost $3.5 million. The Wolf of Wall Street cost $100 million to make. The Big Short cost $50 million. Margin Call cost $3.5 million and still grossed close to $24 million. The director, J.C. Chandor, wrote the script while sleeping on a couch in a borrowed office. Couldn't afford an apartment. His dad was a career banker at Merrill Lynch, one of the biggest firms on Wall Street. Chandor sat down to write in the days after Lehman Brothers, another massive bank, went under and helped trigger the 2008 financial crash. The CEO in the movie is named "John Tuld," a mashup of two real bank CEOs from that era: John Thain at Merrill Lynch and Richard Fuld at Lehman Brothers. 80% of the movie was shot on the 42nd floor of One Penn Plaza in Manhattan. The offices had just been cleared out by a real trading firm. They made a movie about Wall Street collapsing inside a building that Wall Street had already walked out of. Chandor could have had more money. Investors showed up with bigger checks, but they wanted the ending rewritten. The CEO hauled off in handcuffs, the good guys walking out in protest. Chandor turned them down. He wanted the version where everyone compromises and goes home. That refusal is why the budget stayed at $3.5 million. He had his own close call with the crash. A bank handed him and some friends $10 million to buy a building in New York before 2008. Almost no questions asked. A former banker he knew told them to sell fast. They got out right before the bottom dropped. The film hit theaters in October 2011. That same week, Occupy Wall Street protesters were camping out a few blocks from where the crew had filmed. The producers put it on iTunes and cable the same day it opened in theaters. Around 500,000 people rented it for $6.99 each. That was roughly $5 million that a traditional release would have left on the table. Matt Levine at Bloomberg called it the best finance movie in 2022. David Denby at The New Yorker said the same thing when it premiered in 2011. A movie about a bank pulling the coldest trade of its life turned out to be one of the coldest trades indie film has seen.

Despite its A-list cast, Margin Call (2011) was shot in just 17 days on a budget of about $3.5 million. Most of the film takes place on a single floor of a vacant Manhattan office building, which helped keep the production fast and inexpensive.

You can identify any humpback whale on Earth from one photo of its tail. The underside has a pattern as unique as your fingerprint, and it stays with the whale for life. Scars from orca bites, nicks from fishing line, patches of black and white that never repeat between two animals. There's a site called Happywhale that basically built Facebook for whales. You upload a tail photo, an AI scans it against over 70,000 known whales, and tells you where that animal has been spotted before. One whale in their database was first recorded in 1994 and has been tracked 21 times across California and the Gulf of California. In the North Pacific alone, over 30,000 humpbacks have been individually identified this way. That 35-year gap between Nayarit and Los Cabos isn't even close to the record. One humpback was first photographed in 1975 and spotted again 48.7 years later. These animals can live past 90 years old, according to NOAA. One confirmed case hit 95. In 1985, when this whale was first caught on camera, humpbacks were still clawing back from the edge. Whaling had killed 95% of them before the international ban kicked in during the 1960s. And the Soviets made it worse. They slaughtered over 48,000 humpbacks between 1947 and 1972 while reporting the number as 2,820. That cover-up only came to light years later. Today, there are about 135,000 humpbacks on Earth. One population in Eastern Australia went from roughly 100 animals in 1963 to 50,000. Nine of fourteen humpback groups have been taken off the U.S. Endangered Species List. In 2019, economists at the International Monetary Fund put a price on a single great whale: about $2 million over its lifetime. When one dies and sinks to the ocean floor, their body traps an average of 33 tons of carbon dioxide for centuries. A tree pulls about 48 pounds per year. So one whale locks away as much carbon as roughly 1,375 trees do in a year. Every time a whale surfaces to breathe, it drags iron and nitrogen from the deep ocean up to the surface, feeding the tiny plants that make more than half the oxygen on Earth. This whale has been alive through the whole thing. From 5,000 animals on the planet to 27 times that number. Two photos, 35 years apart, and an entire species coming back in between.
Nature is Amazing ☘️@AMAZlNGNATURE

The same whale was found after 35 years in the west coast of Mexico.

Victor Glover failed an engineering class his sophomore year of college. His dad talked him out of joining the Navy SEALs and told him an engineering degree and pilot wings might make him an astronaut someday. Right now Glover is somewhere between the Earth and the Moon. He grew up in Pomona, California. Played quarterback in high school, wrestled well enough to place sixth at the state championship, won Athlete of the Year. Went to Cal Poly for engineering and played both sports at the college level. He got his Navy wings in 2001 and started flying F/A-18 fighter jets off aircraft carriers. His squadron deployed on the USS John F. Kennedy to fight in Iraq, the carrier’s final deployment ever. Twenty-four combat missions. His commanding officer gave him the callsign “Ike,” short for “I Know Everything.” He became a test pilot at Edwards Air Force Base and over his career flew more than 40 types of aircraft, 3,000 hours in the air, everything from a Korean War-era Soviet MiG-15 to the Goodyear blimp. More than 400 landings on a moving carrier deck. He earned three master’s degrees in three years. He once told Cal Poly’s president that the hardest thing he ever chose to do was walk in space. The second hardest was wrestling practice. He applied to NASA in 2009 and got rejected. Applied again in 2013 while working in the U.S. Senate for John McCain. NASA’s head of flight crew operations called him. He missed the call. Frantically dialed back. Eight people got in that year out of more than 6,000 applicants. NASA put him in the pilot seat for the first operational SpaceX Crew Dragon flight in 2020. He spent 168 days on the International Space Station and walked in space four times. Last June he went back to Cal Poly to accept an honorary doctorate. His wife Dionna and their oldest daughter Genesis both walked across the stage at the same ceremony to pick up their own degrees. Three days ago Glover launched from Kennedy Space Center. The crew will fly past the far side of the Moon on Monday and travel about 252,000 miles from home, breaking a distance record that Apollo 13 set fifty-six years ago. They come back at roughly 25,000 mph. He has four daughters. His callsign is still Ike.

NASA pilot Victor Glover CLAPS back after being asked what it means to be the first black man to visit the moon: “It’s the story of humanity, not black history, not women’s history, but that it becomes human history.” “I also HOPE we are pushing the other direction that one day we don’t have to talk about these first. That one day, this is just—and listen to this—that this is the human history.”
