@Jonathan_Blow I have the exact same problem with my ThinkPad running Linux. It just won't wake up. So sad that the simplest things stop working.

So I put this laptop to sleep for 20 minutes while I had lunch. Went to a coffee shop, the power button is still slowly strobing, indicating it is still asleep, unlike my other laptop … GREAT. Except…. … it will not wake up no matter how many times I press the power button. I had to cold boot. FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS.

Sorry for the profanity, but every single laptop I have bought since 2020 has been unusable dog shit. Newest entry: Framework 16. It automatically switches between integrated and discrete GPU when you run programs that use the discrete GPU. This is great, right???? NO, it FREEZES THE ENTIRE LAPTOP for ONE POINT FIVE SECONDS every time it switches on, and again when it switches off. Just because you run or exit a program. It is driving me completely insane, to the point where I am ready to disable the discrete GPU. Whoever thought this was acceptable deserves to be FIRED IMMEDIATELY. I am sure their valuable skills will be appreciated somewhere else, like the Biden campaign. All the dog shit laptops I am talking about are EXPENSIVE machines in the $4k-5k range. I have spent about $30k on complete dog shit laptops in the past 5 years and it is getting very old.
