The principles of design do not only apply to a design as a whole. They are also directly applied to the single, individual elements in that given design. And to groups as well. It's like a body. It touches the cells, then affects the organs, and systems, which then combine to form the whole.

There's Design, and how it's used in Visual Communication. But there's also Design, as pertaining to Experiences. Experiences are designed too. It often feels insignificant and overlooked, supposedly, until there's a fault or problem. And then it becomes obvious that there was something there in the first place. For example, If Google's search results take a longer time to load, longer than expected, and the results are cluttered and irrelevant, you notice there's a problem. However, when it all flowed seamlessly, that 'flow' was overlooked and seen as normal. From another angle; You're streaming a much anticipated series, and your Netflix stream buffers endlessly, or interrupts some key moments. At that point, there's a break in the initial good experience you are used to, and the failure or issue being experienced at that moment has revealed a system or design that was there all along, which wasn't obvious and seen as significant. So yes, experiences are designed too. And these can be seen in EVERY aspect of our day to day living, digitally and IRL. 💚
