@PirateRugbyPod With the hemisphere split don’t think neutral venues work. Could see pretty empty stadiums for say Glasgow v Leinster at a weeks notice in Jo’burg. Maybe need an extra week between semis and final? Fans have to travel a lot in-season so short notice trips more difficult to do

Michele Lamaro had an exclusive interview yesterday with leading Italian newspaper ‘Gazetta dello Sport’ where he described “several small, unpleasant situations unworthy of a host country” during his team’s stay in Wales. According to Lamaro, Italy’s warm-up was cut short while Wales were allowed extra time to prepare. He also claims Italy’s family members were given poor seats in the corner of the stadium with reduced visibility, and that they were not permitted to attend the post-match function.
