These are conversations that must happen every day. Africa is talking in our homes, in our streets, in our art, in our politics, across the continent and beyond. A #BorderlessAfrica will not simply be declared. It will be spoken, imagined, organized; built by Africans themselves.

And so, the next step? To devolve the movement to the people, so that Africans in villages, cities, campuses, markets, and the diaspora understand the power of unity and what it means for the future of the continent. #BorderlessAfrica #AfricansRising #MyBorderlessDream

By the end of the gathering, the Borderless Africa Campaign was embraced as a living movement. Yet one challenge still stood clear: The campaign must move beyond rooms and events and belong to communities of Africans everywhere. #BorderlessAfrica

We challenged ourselves to take the lead in reclaiming the African story and to tell it boldly, truthfully, and unapologetically. #BorderlessAfrica #AfricansRising

The question of reparations and repair emerged strongly. Repair is not only about money; it is about restoring stolen histories, rebuilding food sovereignty, reclaiming our narratives, and healing the fractures imposed on the continent.

We turned inward into culture, memory, and identity. How colonial and post-colonial systems have steadily eroded African ways of being: our languages, our stories, our food systems, and our confidence in ourselves. Reclaiming these is part of the work of a Borderless Africa.

We asked difficult questions about what a Borderless Africa truly means: An Africa where movement is not inhibited, where borders no longer divide our people, and where unity becomes a lived reality rather than a slogan.
