@gupon Thank you. I really hope sidefx makes this easier cuz cgwiki method have to send the remapped animation to another duplicate of the object and cannot replace the original animation otherwise it will be stuck in a feedback loop or something

@threeballs_ In that case, I can’t think of a simpler way than cgwiki's. But when it comes to camera, I usually constrain it to a point animated inside SOPs—since it’s the best context for me to animate values over time. Other SOP nodes like KineFX constraints are also useful for cams.

@gupon yes retime is very useful in this case. but what if i'm animating a camera or other non sop properties? we have to use another method

@threeballs_ If you’re looking to time remap all the animation above, wouldn’t the Retime SOP work for your case? It’s not shown in this video, but you can set the Evaluation Mode to "By Time" or "By Frame" and keyframe it with curves.

@sidefx we need c4d time track or maya timewarp feature in houdini! warpchops sucks. we want a better solution. this is an essential feature in motion design and animation

@_Nick_Taylor what I really don't understand is the houdini community have so many geniuses but still no one made an easy way to remap multiple animation curves to one curve like time track in cinema4d or timewarp in maya. and pls no mention of warpchops method in cgwiki cuz it sucks

Each frame takes 7+ minutes to render on my computer, as there is a lot of glass and caustics in my scene.
Local render time overall would be 34 hours.
RENDER NETWORK did it in 20 minutes. 🤯

@Sekani__Solomon for c4d and houdini mograph RS is the best. it integrates so well. octane still can't take full advantage of new particles system in c4d and many attributes in houdini and it's hard to optimize it for simple mograph scene.
