LONG POST INCOMING SO BEAR WITH ME PLEASE!
It finally came to me... I have been so tied up into everyone and what others think of me that my ENTIRE life has been one giant yes man. I've been so used to being the side character in other people's stories, that MY OWN STORY has put myself as the side character. And who is the main character in my own story? The choices that others give me and the attitude that I get from others.
If people are upset with me, I get upset with myself; If some people are angry, I get frustrated with myself. And instead of focusing on the good that others had on me, I would focus on the negative because I wanted to fix them. I wanted to fix the things that I people hated, so that they can love me. My drive for others approval ended up becoming the monster that ate me alive...
Mornings would be a struggle. I'd feel empty and lost. Because I didn't have things to read or go off to see how others reacted. Nights where I would sit alone in my room were literal hell because I would put all my mentality on myself and beat myself up. I constantly apologize to those around me to the point where I feel like I would annoy them. I would text people every day just to get any sort of reaction. Good or Bad. Days where I don't text people or I don't get a text from people would be the worst days of my life. But why? Why am I so hung up on other people and why am I letting it beat me up. It finally hit me, and it just made everything so much clearer.
I'm so thankful for one of my friends (who will remain unnamed for their sake, but they will know it's them) who has got me into having a Mantra app and try to work on myself for a change. They have been trying their absolute best to help me and give me tips to helping myself. Even offer therapists to me that they would cover. The amount of love and help that they have given me cannot be matched and I am so blessed to have them. They are one of the best friends I've had recently.
The process is super long and slow, and to be honest... It's going to be so much worse for me before it starts getting better. So, I hope that everyone will bear with me through this process and journey of self-love and self-restoration. I've been living with this mindset since I was a child... I'm 22. This change isn't going to be a one-day change.
If you wish to unfollow me and leave, I get it. This change is going to be a long and drastic one (at least for me). But, to those who wish to say... Thank you... Truly... I hope to have more content and stuff that I will love and that YOU will love to see.
