Getting views on YouTube is not just luck. A lot of beginners think you just post and pray, but that is not how it works. Luck can push a video far, yes, but strategy is what gives the video a chance first. Here are the basics every beginner should understand: 1. Your first 3 seconds matter the most. If your hook is weak, people will scroll before the video even starts. 2. Pick topics people can relate to. The best videos make people say, “This is so true” or “This happened to me.” 3. Keep the video moving. Every few seconds, something should change. New scene, new caption, zoom, sound effect, or reaction. 4. Use clear captions. Many people watch videos without sound first, so your captions must carry the message. 5. Don’t waste time with long intros. Start with the main point immediately. 6. Study your retention. If people leave early, your hook or pacing needs work. If they watch till the end, you are doing something right. 7. Post more than one video before judging yourself. One video flopping does not mean the channel is bad. YouTube needs more data, and you need more practice. So yes, luck matters. But strategy, consistency, and improvement matter more. Post. Study what happened. Improve the next one.

Day 3 of taking YouTube seriously. 26.2K views 481 hours watch time Still early, but this is enough proof that something is working. Now I just need to stay consistent and keep posting. Let’s see where this goes.

Day 2 of posting on a new niche on a fresh channel. 7 subscribers 10.3K views 184 likes Not money yet. Not viral yet. But this is the first sign that the channel can actually move. I’m testing if I can grow this from 0 and turn it into something bigger. Comment “update” if I should keep posting the journey. Follow @titledone if you want to see if this channel reaches 1k subs.

Most new creators panic over view count and ignore retention. That’s backwards. 2 views with 40.6% average watch time tells you something 2,000 views can’t: People who found this video watched almost half of it. That’s not a reach problem. That’s a distribution problem. Reach and retention are two different diseases with two different cures. Low reach means the algorithm isn’t showing your video to anyone yet. Fix: title, thumbnail, topic selection, upload consistency. Low retention means people click and leave immediately. Fix: your hook, your pacing, your content itself. If you fix retention while reach is still low, you’re polishing a video nobody sees. If you chase reach while retention is broken, you get more people leaving early, and the algorithm buries you faster. Here’s the mistake almost every beginner makes: They see low views and think “I need better content.” But early on, low views usually just means the algorithm hasn’t tested your video on enough people yet. It’s not a verdict. It’s a sample size of two. What you should actually track in the first 10-20 videos isn’t views. It’s whether your retention percentage is trending up over time, video after video. That’s the real signal your content is improving. Views come later. Retention comes first. Like, Repost and Bookmark if you’re tracking the wrong metric right now.

This 18-year-old boy explained how he made $85,000 in just one day. His story is crazy, but it also shows how fast life can change when you understand the internet, take action, and use the right opportunity at the right time.

Starting a YouTube channel taught me things nobody tells you before you begin. Here's what I've learned so far, documenting this from zero: 1. Consistency beats perfection. A decent video posted on schedule will always outperform a perfect video that never gets made. 2. Your first 30 days mean almost nothing. The algorithm doesn't know you yet. It's watching how people react before it decides to push you further. 3. One video can change everything. I went from a handful of views to thousands almost overnight, from a single upload. You don't know which one it'll be until you post it. 4. Retention matters more than views. A short watch time tells the platform to stop showing your video. A high watch time tells it to push harder. 5. Comments and shares carry weight. Even a few real comments can shift how a video performs. 6. Quitting is the only guaranteed way to fail. Everyone who's grown just kept showing up longer than the people who gave up. I'm not where I want to be yet. But I'm further than I was a month ago, and that's the only comparison that actually matters. If you're building something too, drop a comment. Let's grow together. Follow @titledone

Almost 1,000 YouTube views in less than a day. A few months ago this felt impossible. Proof that showing up and posting actually works. Not stopping here. Follow @titledone
