@tweetsofsteve

VP @1nHealth: you should consider being in a clinical trial. Fouled JJ Reddick in high school (he made both free throws). Now I play Pokemon too (not well tho)

First PTCG event since Birmingham coming up this weekend. I know what I’m taking to the Cup but it’s my 7yo’s first ever tournament. Need to give her something easy to grasp and play - low skill, high potential and doesn’t get too punished for misplays. Thoughts?

@tweetsofsteve Thank you! I'm a big fan of libraries. As for the ads, something strange has happened to the X algorithm. I was paying a dollar a day just to keep them live, but started getting over a hundred clicks per penny. I have no idea why, but I'm not complaining!

@SticksPTCG Bro i do not understand your game 🥲.... Guaranteed grimm opening against me = tm evo into double froslass = if I evo anything it is ultra dead in one turn and if i don't then there is no deck engine. You're made of magic. If there's a deeper dive you have my $15 or whatever 🤣

@tweetsofsteve Pult is a pretty bad matchup that is for sure, but Grimm is fine as long as you open somewhat strong. Solidly favoured imo

@BusteloAddict Apples & oranges. I'm just celebrating a playable staple being something everyone can pick up four copies of, while *also* enjoying all the "vendors" sitting on mountains of these because they refused to sell them for less than market ($10 at release)

@tweetsofsteve I hope for the crash too, but pokepads coming down isnt evidence of that.

Dear rip & shippers, scalpers, and other profiteering capitalists, Your window for wringing max value out of players due to artificially limited supply is closing rapidly. I hope your stack of poke pads rots.

@RanaMC_ @buggydraws That's also my position? Any common playable card comes down to effective zero. A $10 price is the result of market dynamics, but is still imo artificial. Like, the idea of someone at a card show being like "this is *worth* $10" is profiteering. Within their rights, but annoying

@tweetsofsteve @buggydraws No, it dropped rapidly as more and more players got their hands on sets + a reprint was announced Playables aren't like Alt Arts, they constantly go down till they hit zero

@buggydraws @RanaMC_ Yah, it's that. people who had no connection to the hobby or game 12 months ago, trying to make quick money. The rapid price drop is proof that it was artificial in the first place, and the result of those folks trying to scrape a few extra bucks off of players

@RanaMC_ @tweetsofsteve Tbh i think the main issue wasnt even the ~$4 price, when i did actively play it was often that way for deck staples. But the amount of 'investors' being assholes about pokepads has been wild. Many cases of them intentionally witholding them or listing for ridiculous prices

@tweetsofsteve As a former Magic player, I cannot fathom or relate to the amount of fuss in PTCG over one very specific uncommon card being $3-4

@RanaMC_ Yah, pre-POR the inflated price makes *sense* it's just a bummer - and you're probably right, although poffin started there too then they reprinted to oblivion and now we're chilling at like $0.10

@tweetsofsteve Not excusing the stores that wanted like 10$+ a card for a Common BTW, before people call me a "scalper" I just see like 2-5$ a piece for a solid format staple that's semi-hard to pull in a scarce set to be pretty reasonable OFC it'd be preferable if it was like 50 cents each
