Tbh the best way to avoid this is to trim and oil your ends. You will still get some knots yeah but if you keep up with it it will be minimal at best

@thehookprincess The shrinkage leads to tiny knots which leads to breakage. Some people can avoid this paradox but many can't 😭

don’t disagree at all but i want us to remember what the initial topic was bc it’s gotten lost. acting like type 4 hair is impossible to manage whilst taking the best care of your bundles/wigs/braids is odd!

I think the unspoken layer here (BW x hair) is that a lot of these conversations are being driven by women who had to arrive at loving their hair, and because of that, they treat that arrival like a moral position instead of a personal journey. So now there’s a hierarchy.
