Not that I don't desperately want the human rights situation in Pak to improve significantly, but its curious that EU ignored massacre after massacre and illegal abduction after illegal abduction only to care about human rights as soon as Pakistan refused to sign Abraham Accords.

almost every social issue eventually collapses into a class issue. an upper middle class woman is far more privileged than a poor man in this country. this is also pakistani feminism’s biggest blind spot because the movement has been hijacked by a bunch with no skin in the game.

lots of Pakistani feminism I've seen sounds like this: "middle-class women have to suffer and do x, we should be exploiting poor people to do x instead, yay progress!" just listen to yourselves.. why are all your solutions to sexism "get a poor person to do it" ?????
