Take the plunge. ❄️🤿 Sailors from Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center and Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 2 conduct arctic diving operations during Operation ICE CAMP 2026. ICE CAMP Boarfish is a three-week operation designed to research, test, and evaluate operational capabilities in the Arctic region. In addition to U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and Air National Guard, ICE CAMP brings together personnel from Australia, Canada, France, the United Kingdom, Norway, and Japan. Held biennially, ICE CAMP partners with the Arctic Submarine Laboratory and was elevated from an exercise to an operation to better reflect the Navy’s strategic priorities in the Arctic. U.S. Navy aviators have flown hundreds of combat flights during Operation Epic Fury, demonstrating America's unmatched ability to generate air dominance from the sea.

We mourn the six U.S. Airmen who gave their lives in service to our Nation. They answered the call without hesitation, took to the skies in defense of freedom, and stood the watch for all of us. The Department of the Navy stands shoulder to shoulder with the @USAirForce and the entire Joint Force in grief and in gratitude. Their courage will not be forgotten. Their sacrifice will be honored in the strength and readiness we carry forward every day. God bless our fallen. God bless their families. USS Abraham Lincoln continues flight operations day and night during Operation Epic Fury. Sailing close to Iran, Lincoln and its embarked carrier air wing are executing back-to-back waves of strikes.

Sea Hawks over Sicily. 🌋 MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopters assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 28 conduct a training flight over Mt. Etna near Naval Air Station Sigonella, Sicily. HSC-28 is currently deployed in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations, supporting the warfighting effectiveness, lethality and readiness of U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa, while defending U.S., Allied and partner interests in the region. 📸 MC2 Andy A. The Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group continues to support Operation Epic Fury and project power from the sea.

On March 12, USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) experienced a fire that originated in the ship’s main laundry spaces. The cause of the fire was not combat-related and is contained. There is no damage to the ship’s propulsion plant, and the aircraft carrier remains fully operational. Two Sailors are currently receiving medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and are in stable condition. Additional information will be provided when available. The Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group is currently operating in the Red Sea in support of Operation Epic Fury.

Close-in defense. Sailors aboard Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) fire a MK-15 Phalanx Close-In Weapon System, a Mark 38 25 mm machine gun, and a .50-caliber machine gun during a live-fire exercise in the Pacific Ocean.
