U.S. forces resumed the naval blockade against vessels transiting to and from Iranian ports and coastal areas today at 4 p.m. ET. There are currently more than 20 U.S. Navy warships and hundreds of military aircraft operating across the Middle East. American forces remain vigilant, lethal, and ready.

We are accelerating the shipbuilding process by changing how we do business. With today’s $2.2 billion award, TOTE Services will serve as the Vessel Construction Manager and oversee the production of up to eight Medium Landing Ships, which our Marines need to transport and land naval expeditionary forces. Using a proven design and applying commercial best practices, we’re redesigning the shipbuilding model to deliver capabilities to the Fleet faster. @USMC @USNavy

⚓📰 #USNAVY UPDATE: Exercise Sea Breeze 26-2 Opens with Focus on Interoperability as a Combat Capability Exercise Sea Breeze 26-2 kicked off in Portland, United Kingdom, today. Naval forces from Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, France, Georgia, Greece, Japan, Latvia, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Türkiye, NATO Maritime Allied Command (NATOMARCOM), Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and The United States are all participating. “Sea Breeze 26-2 reinforces the importance of interoperability,” said Vice Adm. J.T. Anderson, commander, U.S. 6th Fleet. “Every evolution we conduct together strengthens the readiness and lethality of our combined force, ensuring we are prepared to defend our shared interests and maintain security across one of the world’s most strategically important maritime regions. Strong Allies and partners are our greatest advantage.”

Yesterday, using multiple one-way attack surface drones, CENTCOM forces successfully struck a submarine and ship maintenance facility in Iran. Three Corsair unmanned surface vessels hit the port at Bandar Abbas Naval Base, marking the first time American forces have employed sea drones in combat operations. Last night’s strikes degraded Iran’s ability to continue attacking commercial shipping.
