I can finally post this!! A clean sketch of my friends oc for a secret Santa game my rp group and I did :) I had to redraw him five times before I was happy with it, but some ocs just need extra attention..

@nokinok_art I pretty much ignore canvas flipping except when it's to make it mechanically easier for my to draw (my hand can draw right eyes better than left so I will cheat and flip to draw two Rx eyes loool) because otherwise I'll never finish any art

@vamparable I also fliped horizontally to check for mistakes serveral times, but I now try to stop once it looks good in the final angle. Since it's only seen from one side anyway finally, this helps me avoid the burnout and procrastination caused by perfectionism!

Mid-progress on this OC painting. Last thing I managed to work on before heading out for the holidays. Loving the vibe so far, but decisions decisions... The right side of her face has really cool scars I want to show, but if I flip the canvas her whole face looks off to me 😭

I'm looking for artists to commission! I NEED an artist that is comfortable drawing characters in tactical gear. Please, drop your pricing sheets in the comments of this post. If you want to include your favorite pieces, do it! I crave new artwork of my OCs. 😭

I think the search function could be better for finding new artists (filters maybe?), and as an artist I hate tagging because you have to manually select it, you can't put a comma or copy paste a pre-made list. As a client who doesn't care for cutesy anime style, it's hard to find styles I'm actually interested in, it's Def much more angled towards cute styles.

Has anyone experience with VGen commissions? 🤔I'm interested in both perspectives, from a artist and a client standpoint.

Forgot how exciting it is to commission an artist... I know they won't start on my comm until January but I'm still sitting here foaming at the mouth for a wip lol. Wish I had more expendable cash to throw at more artists, it's a tough life being in charge of your own content.

Sent my first commission request on Vgen...it's been years since I've commissioned someone else but Im too burnt out to do art for my own ocs rn ;_; very hopeful they'll accept it soon, it's for one of my favvvv ocs.
