Melissa called the well guy. They can come out in three weeks to survey the property. Our neighbor says the owner looks like Uncle Jesse from the Dukes of Hazard and doesn’t give you options as to where to dig. Hoping we can get pictures! #EvergreenAtHohenwald

How do you fit a new business idea into a busy day job schedule? The weekends. Keith just spent Sunday afternoon getting together all our financial information to submit for a construction loan. Planning for the financing of the project is time-consuming.

@plankers Yes. And you don't get to see them because they are retired! But it's cool to know they are here.

We officially started this journey in 2024. We purchased 7-acres of raw forest in Hohenwald (The High Forest). We are naming it the Evergreen. It's a play on a Chicago neighborhood and a hat tip to the hundreds of loblobby evergreens on the property. Stay tuned for updates!

When we met, we both worked in the hospitality industry. So, we've been interested in building an Airbnb-style business. However, we aren't fans of taking homes off the market for potential buyers. So, the #EvergreenAtHowenwald is purpose-built not to compete with home buyers.
