Confirmed: Source tells me that Will Wade to LSU was not spur of the moment. Allegedly, this was a move that had been orchestrated & coordinated for well over a month. This may explain the regression in play for NC State as Wade's full attention may not have been devoted to State

The case for Josh Schertz: -Seasoned HC at multiple levels (D2, D1 Mid Major 2x) -Post season success at every stop -16 total conference chips -Ties to NC - Queens U & High Point -Recruited & developed players - Robbie Avila, Ryan Conwell, etc. Just signed a large extension at SLU but we have $4MM from the Wade buyout that could help. @BlackVishnu He was lead recruiter for Arizona Reid when he was Associate HC at High Point and he was HC at Indiana St where he recruited Rob Martin who ended up transferring to High Point by coincidence and just put 30 on Darius Acuff in the tournament a week or so ago.

Schertz was the recruiter for Arizona Reid for HPU the year I transferred from State to HPU (graduated as best player in school history at the time), and he recruited Rob Martin to Indiana St who coincidentally just put 30 on Darius Acuff for HPU a week or so ago. He's a great recruiter.

Schertz has had coaching stops in NC as an assistant at Queens and High Point. Went 29-6 at SLU this season and beat Georgia in the Round of 64. Also went 32-7 at Indiana State in 2023-24 had one of the best offenses in college basketball
