@johnkempf Following on from your tweet about eliminating PRG’s, which nutrient imbalances, which should we be concentrating on? Calcium, silicon? This is in a wheat or barley context.

What are your primary agronomy headaches? What problems would you love to have solved? Ask me anything, will answer to the best of my ability.

@bencm305 @cutlerstom @DWarcup @NewGenAgri In my simple brain the pgrs are just making the crop shorter, less waxy and thus easier for disease to travel up!

@cutlerstom @DWarcup @NewGenAgri I've seen plenty of rye that is 6ft tall and obvious been missed by the sprayer and pgrs (and presumably all inputs) and its as clean as a whistle. I have always had a gut feeling pgrs are doing some harm, alongside the obvious benefits

I bought some @RdsMme TT+trailers weighers for last harvest. Results, thought I had 604 tons of barley. This is what's left after 598 tons gone. It's helped me sell it better and great to know yield field by field. Money well spent.

@willheygate Not tried in loose wet unstructured cultivated soil yet. It’s fine in no till or pasture

Started the autumn round of soil sampling. Pleased with my cheapo homemade multi sampler👍. Also worm counting and it’s interesting to see the difference between this year and last probably due the drought🤷

Here I go again! Media siding with the supermarkets. All farmers want is a fair price, they’ve already upped the price for you as the consumer why can’t it filter down to us so we can cover costs?? #payfarmersfair
