The day I wanted to buy corn and they told me 500 naira, I said 'for one or everything that was roasting?' The woman selling and someone else that was buying was shocked that I was shocked and asked the question. I had never bought corn for more than 200 naira so I was stunned when she said it was 500 naira.

hmm before them drag me. i see some people on here underestimate what it means to financially take care of a grown adult. it’s a huge task that can even make the person start resenting u unintentionally. that aside you can never be equals with someone that you are fully dependent on. it sounds sad but the truth is bitter. asides romantic relationships gan, even our parents get tired too. so i need people to be more honest especially in today’s economy

@theProcessXCII Doesn’t work that way boss. That time, dollar was 150 naira So if cement was 2k, you needed $13 to buy one bag. Today’s price, cement is 10k. You’d need $7.6 to buy one bag at 1300 exchange rate. Which means compared to then, it’s easier to build a house from $$ income now.
