@davidsacks47 Agreed, but some guardrails should be implemented to ensure that jobs are protected. AI, although transformative, has the potential to displace many people in favor of automation and could have a significant impact on people’s individual economic security.

I have called for an AI Jobs New Deal.
✅ Future Workforce Admin hires young grads & displaced workers in care jobs, government service, national security etc.
✅ Laws to protect drivers from automation
✅ Revoke immunity for algorithmic content
✅ Emphasize humanities in school.

AI is going to wipe out at least 25 million jobs in the next 5 to 10 years. Probably much more. It will destroy every creative field. It will make it impossible to discern reality from fiction. It will absolutely obliterate what’s left of the education system. Kids will go through 12 years of grade school and learn absolutely nothing. AI will do it all for them. We have already seen the last truly literate generation. All of this is coming, and fast. There is still time to prevent some of the worst outcomes, or at least put them off. But our leaders aren’t doing a single thing about any of this. None of them are taking it seriously. We’re sleepwalking into a dystopia that any rational person can see from miles away. It drives me nuts. Are we really just going to lie down and let AI take everything from us? Is that the plan?

@DavidSacks Beneficial is dependent on the metric of success. If maximizing corporate profits is prioritized, then absolutely. If protecting jobs and the economic future of individuals, perhaps not so beneficial to the individual.

I believe we are in urgent need of an AI Bill of Rights! Not one that protects AI systems or corporations, but one that protects us, the people, from being rendered irrelevant. I just read the current grokipedia article on the Great Barrington Declaration. It's balanced & almost entirely factually accurate (though it still has me as Stanford prof.). Wikipedia, by contrast, is biased, bordering on libelous. Thank you @elonmusk! grokipedia.com/page/Great_Bar…

In our earthly human plane of existence, loss of a loved one is very sad. I have personally grappled with the grief and sorrow from the loss of Liesl. However, in the eternal plane of existence, for those who have received the free gift of salvation from Jesus, this is a joyous moment. I know that Liesl is with Jesus, and having the best time ever! Like she says in her testimony, it’s a win-win! It brings me so much peace and comfort knowing this truth! Philippians 1:21!

My beloved little sister, Liesl, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept 7th, after a courageous 6 year battle with cancer. Please watch and share her video testimony she recorded before she died. Despite the challenges she faced, her faith and trust in God remained steadfast. In light of the many tragedies we face in the world today, I pray this video will help someone struggling and provide some much needed hope!
